Fbi raids trump lawyer

And this is illegal?

It doesn't have to be illegal in and of itself. The question is what it suggests about the intent with which the Daniels payment was made.

For example, if I get into a verbal dispute with you, and then go and buy a gun and a day later shoot you and claim it was an accident, the fact that we had a verbal dispute is relevant to what my intent was, even thought there is nothing criminal about the verbal dispute.

I'm curious as to what criminal statute was violated by trying to suppress that tape?

Suppress the tape? The cat was already out of the bag. There was some evidence of wrong doing presented in the warrant or the judge wouldn't have signed it.The suspense is building!

And McDougal. Yes. There are very specific legal regulations that govern such a search.

Then by definition if they are wearing blinders, they can't find evidence or any other crime ... especially on a computer. Anything short of kiddie porn as a screensaver wouldn't be obvious. But then it gets back to that other thing "Gee, we had to spend days looking through all kinds of stuff, and then just when we were ready to give up on the 25th day there it was."

Depends on where the money came from and how it was reported.

No, this is called "greatly stretching the law to fit the alleged crime."

This is a hypothetical exercise, but if true, should scare the living **** out of you if the law is being abused like that.

You're reaching.

Unless campaign funds were used, this isn't a crime, is it? Politicians routinely try and suppress negative information.

Possibly threats? Who knows. It would have to imply some criminal activity or it wouldn't have passed muster for a warrant at the level it did.

Certainly ain't Russia.

There are at least two ways for the payment to be illegal. If campaign funds were used and it was misreported, then there is a violation.

If the funds were Cohen's and the payment was made to influence the election, the payment would have had to be reported as a campaign contribution (which we know it wasn't).

We recovered from the Clinton witch hunt and this is far more credible.

Just how many "but Hillary" cards do you have left? Cant be very many. Might want to save a few for when the next wave of Indictments come out.

We've got as many "butt Hiliarly" cards as your side has race cards. We won't be running short.

The evidence is overwhelming by numerous studies that the incidence of voter fraud is negligible. There's a reason why Trump's Voter Fraud Commission was disbanded with little fanfare and zero evidence.

However there is strong reason to suspect this Commission was not a legitimate attempt to study elections, but rather a tool for enabling voter suppression.

So just quit with that idiocy.

There's none so blind as those who will not see. You have to look for it; haven't you learned anything from Mueller, yet? I don't think state election commissions would get to ignore data requests from Mueller.

Let me ask you, do you believe all of the things the media says about Putin or Assad?

I don't believe much of anything the media says ... about anybody or on any topic. Look more for what they don't say about a topic - especially MSM.

It's been explained that Mueller's team uncovered information suggesting possible criminal activity by Cohen that was then passed on to the FBI to pursue (or not), as it was outside of his purview. Mueller did not order the raid, nor is he running that investigation.

Uh huh. Still got lots of bridges on the lot, and some really hot deals.

Well, as I understand it, Cohen lives in and works out of New York, so makes sense they would be the ones to pursue this. I actually blame Cohen for this. The NDA was in place. By admitting the payoff, he brought on the scrutiny. It's warranted.

Aren't payoffs and NDAs fairly common in civil cases? Are you saying out of court settlements - complete with documentation - are problematic? This could really get to be fun if a complaint for product liability, malpractice, wrongful whatever, or liable/slander and a settlement are considered troubling - like a bribe and payoff; what would all those lawyers and judges do?

You know, if I make a big payment out of pocket and then refill my wallet from a CC cash withdrawal or line of credit, then why would I have to say I used the money for such and such? It was just expenses, are we a police state, yet?

There is no doubt in my mind, this is 100% about going after Trump’s presidency and anyone near him if possible. 96% of DC does not want him there. There’s huge pressure to get him, make no mistake they’ll find ‘something’. It may never stop, that being the search to find something. Remember, no one is innocent. Virtually wveryone is guilty of some infraction or crime.

They don't want him there because he is an embarrassment.

Twittersphere is noting that release of Access Hollywood tape was followed almost immediately by WikiLeaks release of hacked Podesta emails. Speculating, but perhaps they're looking at whether Cohen knew Access Hollywood tape was going to be released and whether he coordinated with WikiLeaks on the release of the hacked Podesta emails. All speculation at this point though.
