Keon Johnson, shooting guard '20. Picked up an offer from the Vols. He plays at Webb School in Bell Buckle, just outside of Shelbyville. His mother is a former Miss Tn basketball winner, Conswella Sparrow.

Utah State transfer Koby McEwen is down to Creighton, Grand Canyon & Marquette, a source tells @247Sports. Will work to set up visits soon. Averaged 15.6 PPG last year.

He has already been on campus. I have seen him play since he was dunking on people at Liberty in Shelbyville. Saw him this season and he has grown a lot. He is tall, long, skilled, and super athletic.

Curious if anyone knows the answer, I’m guessing Bruin would know..

Carlos Curry has been mentioned as someone Tennessee has been in contact with, has also been mentioned he may have some academic issues which is how he ended up at MTSU with multiple bigger offers. My question is, where does he have to be in order to get admitted to Tennessee but not cleared, like is that a possibility? I know Turner had to redshirt his first year because he wasn’t cleared academically, so in theory is it possible Curry could come to Tennessee and take an academic redshirt year? Or is it unlikely if he needs a prep school year that he could get admitted to Tennessee?

I would bet a large sum if he isn't eligible from the NCAA he won't be admitted to school at Tenn.

I could see the Vols gauging interest here, just got his release from Fresno State...he’s from Texas so you know he obviously grew up knowing who Barnes is, and not sure it helps but Schwartz was in the running for the Fresno State job so could be some common ground there. I would guess the Texas schools will be a factor but that’s just a hunch based on where he’s from, looks like he’s a 6’5” combo guard that plays some solid defense.
