James Akinjo slated to OV next weekend, will have 3 more to take if he chooses so but the fact the Vols locked down the first obviously means we are at least 1/4 finalists at worst.

One I worry bout the most is Zona. If proximity plays a factor then Zona will be tough. If not then I think we got a very real shot. I am gonna say the way it looks distance is not going to be an issue.

Zona also offers immediate majoring playing time at a somewhat blue blood program, not something you see very often...now the reason for that is the FBI mess and so does he buy Miller is clean and will be there for 4 years? Who knows.

Kinda hope he sees through that snake oil salesman of a coach.

Mentioned him in another thread but saw it confirmed in Twitter, Tennessee has reached out to former MTSU big man commit Carlos Curry along with Florida State, Ole Miss, Georgia, Buffalo, Witichia State, Illionis State, and Cincinnati.

6’11” 230lbs, has a pretty impressive offer list for a guy that was committed to MTSU...I’ve been campaigning for a big man, this guy would fit the bill for sure.

Would have to think Ole Miss has the inside track for him

Carlos Curry is a major project. He has potential but is a long way form a finished product. He is more of a project than Alexander was. He does not play against great teams. He does not give good effort on defense. He just has a long way to go for fit into coach barnes system. I would pass on him.

I disagree that he’s more of a project than Alexander...alexander had only played b-ball for 3 years AND was also incredibly thin, this guy has played year round ball for year and is already physically built for SEC play.
