Hey guys. Sorry that this is off topic, however we are vacationing in Pigeon Fordge this week and have tickets to the Sunday 3:00 baseVols game.

With tonight's game pushing into a double header tomorrow, I was just hoping someone can give me some details as to how this will work?

Will they empty the stadium in between games? I appreciate any info you guys can provide. TIA.

I have to say, except for Sports Animal bunch, our local media was great during the coaching search.

Same here. I realize we were fortunate not to have any serious injuries all season. Just wished it could have continued since the bench was weak at that position. Schofield playing on a gimpy ankle didn't help either. Love where the program is headed though.

I guess I’m naive but BVS notwithstanding, I’m really excited about the direction of most of our major sports teams.

Don't matter if it passes or not. The AD, whoever that is, needs to make the no brainer decision when hiring a coach. Hire the best coach, regardless of fit, regardless of who this or that booster wants, and be willing to pay them market value.

You mean that’s possible for more than just the bamas, Ohio States, and Oklahoma’s? Was starting to believe I dreamed up my childhood where we were one of those.

Was skeptical at Niedermeyer being an on-field coach. Sounds like the players are impressed. An experienced TE’s coach on the support staff can’t hurt.

I think our support staff may be better than some of our previous on field staffs. Haha

Thanks for sharing. The media articles coming out of this are going to paint a very clear picture to the average fan. Haslam himself wasn’t calling the shots. He had Raja Jubran calling the shots for him.

This quote gives a good summary:

Nothing.

It’s difficult to draw any other conclusion than that the people who were involved in making those decisions have nothing but contempt for the people of the state of Tennessee: the students, alumni, donors, season ticket holder, lower end boosters, fans, local media, athletes, former athletes — the entire gamut that is Vol Nation. Sheer contempt. And it’s sickening to witness firsthand.

You were mad last night because John Currie called Vol Nation “wackos”? Then you should be outraged at how the BoT seems to consider Vol Nation, and in particular how Raja Jubran and his cronies do. We may be the “hysterical masses” some “influential support (sp)” called us while on the putting green at Cherokee, but one thing’s for certain.

None of these people really understand what it’s like to be a common Tennessee fan. None of them. And if the FOCUS bill passes, the few voices of opposition against a pervasive agenda that has been destroying UT athletics from within will be ruthlessly eliminated.

And no one else calling me “delusional” or “clueless” ever affects that. 4Us could have stated he has personal experience with Majors and that’s affected his opinion and I wouldn’t have told him that he didn’t. Throwing in a personal jab at me gets me feisty...it’s not necessary.

Hate to borrow trouble but I'm already pretty concerned with where this AD will be headed after Phil retires. You better believe the almighty Haslam's want that power back and that they'll be trying every way in the world to get it. Really hoping Bill doesn't become the next President of the university. If or when they get their next puppet AD, good luck keeping Pruitt in town. Needless to say if that does happen, we'll be floating down crap creek.
