#BoycottNRA

NRA picked up hundreds of thousands of new members.

Delta lost a huge fuel tax credit.

Cops got a crap ton of overtime "protecting" marchers.

All this thanks to useful idiots who were embraced, encouraged, funded, furnished with signs and media access, and transported by the liberals.

They spent a ton of money to pay for this, and got new NRA members and Delta's fuel. Oh...and overtime for cops they secretly hate.

And accomplished nothing. Go figure.

The ironically named Dicks’ profits are way down as well.

It's not. It was a factitious name and an event that did not happen. The point is, we do not know that it did not happen because murder was illegal.

Stated another way....we will never know how many people were stopped because of the illegality, we only know of the ones who were not stopped.

And we will never know how many lives are saved daily because of the presence of a firearm. The study I linked (which was commissioned by Obama btw) gives a good idea of the number.

We do not agree. Legalizing would increase the rate of usage. Many of the newly addicted would resort to crime to pay for their legal drug.

Why would legal heroin increase usage? Do you think a lot of level headed people don’t use heroin because it’s illegal?

There are millions that avoid it, or at least do it a lot less because of the illegality.

That sounds good but you have no way to back that up.

Of course I don't. The number is unknowable. I only know how it effects me, my family, and friends. The rest is just an extrapolation.

So you don't know but you know how it effects you, your family and friends?

How does that work?

Are we discussing the same thing? Laws keeping people from drinking and driving?

They accomplished plenty. The needle moved substantially. Plus they were happy to give LEO overtime.

True. Which is why no one has a desire to take a person's right to own a gun for self defense away.

I'll repeat that for you.....No one is trying to take anyone's right to own a gun for self defense away.

THAT IS NOT THE MOTIVE!!!!!!

Rubbish. It’s always been the goal.

So you are just here to legislate motives.

That would be a cluster.....

We are. Or better, how the laws don't prevent it.

You threw out millions don't drink and drive because of the law to try and prove a point that you then conceded there was no way anyone could know.

You then shifted it in the same post to how it effects you and yours. My question was how that works? Or how do you know that effects you?

Because there are numerous times I drink and don't drive or drive and don't drink even though doing both would have been my choice had it not been illegal.

Didn't you not too long ago claim that was part of the chronological compromise process?

So why did House Democrats introduce legislation that would have banned 90% of all guns?

It's your choice either way. The law doesn't remove the choice. It only adds a repercussion.

Did you need the law to tell you it wasn't a good idea?
