The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

To me, a crime is an action against someone else’s person or property. Not the mere possession of something dangerous. Hell, life is dangerous.
I agree but some things are inherently dangerous enough that they just don't belong in society. My neighbor is probably smart enough and possibly wealthy enough to build a mini nuclear reactor on his propety. I wouldn't be cool with that.

With all due respect, there shouldn’t be any kind of classifications. Either we have the right to arms or we don’t.

I understand. And I do believe your interpretation is in fact in line directly with what the founding fathers intended. To be able to provide or meet, if required, force with equal force.

Yep. To be able to overthrow a tyrannical government if the need should arise. That’s the foundation of the second amendment. Furthermore, it’s the foundation of a free humanity. Free people do not ask permission to be armed.

I don't see how the bump stock can possibly be considered a safe consumer item. If you want full auto, pay up and do it legally.

And that’s what makes it pointless, feel good government.

As has already been said, a “bump stock” just allows the gun to keep looking pretty...but I can accomplish the same thing with a shoelace, a dowel rod, etc.

So I agree that while I don’t really care about an item I support other people’s right to own them generally.

But honestly this one item is a flyer that never should have been exempted from type II classification in my opinion. That’s just my opinion though and I do respect yours.

SBRs, silencers, etc... fully agree and fully support each persons right to own even though I don’t personally want one.

Hey, I totally get silencers. If I want to shoot varmint in my backyard without the neighbors calling the cops then I should be able to do so.

This is where I correct my lax use of terminology and change “silencer” to “suppressor”. I noticed that when I saw your post Coug.

I will say though that the one I witnessed on a .22LR was silent. But not really a good round to reference from frankly.

Anyone else with a Taurus Millennium G2 getting wildly inconsistent target placement? I’m not the best shot in the world, but I swear something seems wrong with my G2. It’s almost as if the barrel isn’t sitting properly in the frame from one round to the next.

You tried opening your eyes while shooting?

Replace it with a shotgun, point it in the general direction, pull the trigger and there's no need to aim.
