#BoycottNRA

Clearly there is no middle ground on this issue. I believe - as do a majority of Americans - that assault style weapons should be banned. It's not a judgement of whether you are responsible gun owners, rather it's a declaration of the truth that these are weapons of war and serve no purpose other than killing people.

When and if, God forbid, your loved ones are gunned down at school, at a movie theatre, wherever - you can return to the PF and remind us all how important it is for private citizens to maintain their ability to wage war in the streets.
Ok, say we ban AR-15s and someone shoots up a classroom and kills 20 with a semi-automatic Glock, are you gonna want to ban those too? What about when they use a Ruger 10/22 are you going to want to ban one of the most popular squirrel guns too? What about the guy that shoots up the school with a Remington 1100 shotgun? You going after those too?

Fake news.

these are weapons of war and serve no purpose other than killing people.

These are words uttered by people that are, without exception, ignorant, idiots or liars. These firearms are used (serve a purpose) by the millions for lawful purpose in this country.

I've said this before and I'll say it again; if I somehow were forced to divest myself of all types of long arms but one my AR platform types would be the last to go. They are not necessarily the best choice for any one purpose (that would have to be specified) nothing comes close to being the best for all possible purposes.

There are more people killed every year by either lawn mowers or bee stings than are killed in school shootings.

Pffft. According to the FBI's UCR in the 5 years between 2012-2016 (the latest available) the MOST people murdered by rifles of all types combined in any year was 374. The LEAST number killed by "knives or cutting instrument" was 1,490. Hell, the LOWEST number of people killed in one year with no weapon at all (literally beat/kicked to death) was 656.

He will want those too.

Agreed. Assault style weapons and large capacity mags should be banned. They failed.

And that would only be the tip of the iceberg for the left. There is no end game other than a complete ban/confiscation if the left has their way. All the way down to pellet guns. Don’t kid yourself if you think that’s not the goal. Maybe not yours, but those that run the Dem party.

No it's what his little triggered heart wants as well.

I'll go along with that.

When I was growing up, there were some guys that were looking at felony drug charges that were given the choice of prison or the military. I could almost give those guys the right to vote as well...

And some, good students in college but busted for a few joints worth of 'reefer', died in Nam.

Look at this super scary assault rifle I ordered.

Old style wooden stock rifles are going to be collectors items someday. Well, unless you crave an old style break barrel like the one below.. :))) The AR revolution has made build your own as fun as Legos. I believe most everything from BB guns on up will eventually have beaucoup customizable aftermarket parts to select from allowing stock, barrel, trigger, etc selection. They will fit you.

Went from a legal rifle to a unregistered SBR real quick. I hope they stick her with charges.

Evidently they continued to destroy various parts until it was useless then turned it in to their local police station. So I doubt anything comes of that ATF lookee. Her gun. Beat it with a sledge if she wants.

Read the following and tell me what specific action Florida has taken regarding guns that you so angrily oppose. These are common sense regulations.

Florida Gun Bill: What’s in It, and What Isn’t

What the bill does

• Raise the minimum age.

• Create a waiting period.

• Ban bump stocks.

• Arm school employees.

• Fund school security.

• Expand mental health services and regulations.

What it doesn’t do

• Ban assault weapons.

• Suspend AR-15 sales.

• Ban high-capacity magazines.

• Strengthen background checks.

FFLs will hate the waiting period. I go in and get a BC run on a gun then get on Armslist and find what I was looking for locally,, the FFL looses a sale. When I make my mind up on buying a gun, I don't want to wait. I will have a CCW in my third state of residence soon. Having to wait to purchase a gun is moronic the same way as checking my ID to buy a beer. If you are under 21 and look like me, they should give you the beer.
