Nope...You're wrong and I'm correct (I hate saying I'm right)

Critical mass of public opinion is always seen as mass hysteria by the ones defending the status quo. Therefore, by definition, mass hysteria (as perceived by the stagnant) was the root cause of both changes.

The majority of our population was not against slavery, a minority of our population set the wheels in motion for it to end when it did.

Women's suffrage was also a minority movement that the majority acquiesced to. There was no ground swell of public support for it. Men were just tired of the *****ing.

Which does nothing but prove that critical mass does not have to constitute a majority.

Also, both issues dealt with ENSURING civil rights not stripping them away.

Some would argue they had the civil right to own a slave. Some would argue they have the civil right to live in a society where 18 year olds cannot legally purchase military style assault weapons.

I think you need a better understanding of what a civil right is.

I'm guessing nobody.

BUT an 18 year old buying a military assault weapon with high capacity magazines may deprive many of those rights.
First of all, he can't legally buy an assault weapon, much less a military assault weapon. Secondly, you used the word 'may'. Guilty until proven innocent. The liberal way. Congratulations.

You are literally chicken ****, but at least you finally acknowledge that my owning any kind of weapon puts nobody at risk. Therefore, you acknowledge that it is not the weapon but the person behind it that is the problem. Yet you STILL want to ban the object. Logical? Not even when drunk is that logical.

An 18 year old can't get the tax stamp to get a military assault weapon. Most couldn't even afford the military assault weapon.

So......do you agree with the interpretation of the Second Amendment that makes it illegal for him to buy a military assault weapon?
