And you continually prove how delusional you are by trying to ban the weapon rather than solve the real problem.

That is the idiotic logical flaw to which many of you gun nuts cling. Rational and reasonable steps can be taken to REDUCE the number and ease of guns finding their way into the hands of criminals.

Also, wanting to implement rational and reasonable laws in no way means that other factors are being ignored.

Criminals don't obey any law. That is why they are called criminals.

No Luther we just absolutely believe it limits the number and ease to which LAW ABIDING people will have access and that’s all. If somebody wants a type of gun and is willing to break the law to get it we gun nutz believe they will absolutely get it. And we see that as the idiotic logical flaw in your argument and always will

The 'gun control' liberals push is just like treating cancer with Tylenol.

I see the same thing day in, day out in cities controlled by liberal governments and economic developers- rather than treat the core issues (often crappy culture) they'd rather take the easiest path possible so they get a boost to their image. It's all virtue signaling in its finest form.

It's the liberal way. Don't like something? Try to have it banned for everyone's "safety."

Also, wanting to implement rational and reasonable laws in no way means that other factors are being ignored.

luther, it's your definition of "rational and reasonable" that's the problem.

Let me put it to you a different way. If there was a drug on the market that could prevent cancer, but it had the potential to kill 0.0001% of the population, should it be banned?

So by extending your logic criminals in the UK or Australia can just as easily and cheaply get guns as criminals in Chicago.

Of course not. That would be asinine and is not even remotely similar to the gun situation. You guys try to cram more square pegs into round holes than I would have ever imagined.

We do not agree and never will. I reject your whole premise of debate and see no reason to go thru these exercises on it anymore. We “gun nutz” will never buy into the premise additional laws will force a desired behavioral response from criminals.

What is the deal with always bringing other countries into an American debate. I don't give a crap about the lack of fluoride in UK water vs US.

So you're going to compare two island nations with a country that shares a land border with an isthmus that regularly has multiple countries with global top-5 murder rates?

You took what he was saying a step too far. Lets look at other examples. Venezuela banned private gun ownership, and has an incredible firearm murder rate. On the other side, Switzerland is home to loads of guns, and has a low murder rate. The issue is culture more than access.

If you want to cut access, come out in favor of the border wall or a giant moat separating us from Mexico. Passing laws left and right is idiotic.

Sweeping back the ocean son.

Delusional you are.

Yep. They are flooding in almost unchecked from various parts of Asia and the Philippines. There is a huge market right now for firearms due to the increase in home invasions.

I'm with NorthDallas on this. We will never see eye to eye on this issue. It's like Copernicus arguing with the Catholic Church about whether or not the Sun revolved around the Earth or vice versa.

Yep. And you’re sure you’re Copernicus but we’re absolutely positive we are.

Of course. I picked the analogy carefully. Both hold their position at the very core of their being, and one side is a little more logic/science based.

Which, again, is just another attempt at you saying you’re right and we’re wrong and is exactly what you are implying in your analogy. Luther we are data driven on this debate also, you just won’t acknowledge any validity in the data. Thus my assertion were both convinced were Copernicus.

In other words. I don’t feel inclined to give you the parting shot of “I’m right and you’re wrong. “ We simply will never agree. That’s it.

And it will be decided by the court of public opinion.

And it will be decided by the court of public opinion.

That “opinion” was penned well over 200 years ago.

Rights are not ratified/vetoed by public opinion. The 2A will still be in existence in its current form long after you’re gone.

But if it’s not, the imminent riots will be telling BLM to hold their beers. I don’t believe you really want to see that go down, looter.

It’s cute to have irrational opinions on VN, it’s quite another to foolishly and brazenly infringe upon a fundamental tenant this country was founded on.

:lolabove:

We have this thing called the constitution that protects us from mass hysteria.

Mass hysteria (I guess) ended slavery and gave women the vote. It's a shame some will only come to their senses when faced with mass hysteria.

:snoring: There are already restrictions, that case has already been decided.

No, wrong on both accounts.

Nope...You're wrong and I'm correct (I hate saying I'm right)

Critical mass of public opinion is always seen as mass hysteria by the ones defending the status quo. Therefore, by definition, mass hysteria (as perceived by the stagnant) was the root cause of both changes.
