I disagree 100%, I think you’d see a lot more orange in Pittsburgh than in Boise...and if you polled twitter or this website I think it’d be about 90% Pitt to Boise.

Are you reading my post?

Yes Boise is the outlier because of airport access which is my point. Lol

I agree about Boise but it's because of airport access.

My main point is there is very little difference for tenn attendance at Pitt or Dallas and the driving distance is substantial

2007 we played in Dallas for the S16 and it was poorly attended by Vol fans. I think Pittsburgh would be better

More Vol fans in Pittsburgh or Wichita?

More Vol fans in Pittsburgh or San Diego?

Minimal difference.
I have know idea why you are avoiding dallas. Dallas is the one with great arirpot access. I'd say more vol fans would be in dallas but again its minimal and damn sure not enough difference from it to be a location advantage for any of them.

I think if you said Pittsburgh or Tennessee for Vols most would take Pittsburgh...I agree that’s the best comparison when talking Michigan State in Nashville or Dallas. I think Tennessee would prefer Pitt, I think Vol fans would prefer Pitt as well...Dallas wouldn’t be a bad consolation but I think State fans feel similarly about Nashville/Dallas.

Fwiw I hope the committee does take your approach....this year seems odd as there are no west coast teams in that top group. Usually you’d have UCLA/Oregon/Gonzaga/USC etc up there which would even everything out, typically you see top 4 seeds get pretty favorable draws but this year it seems like a lot of eastern 3/4 seeds are gonna get hosed.

Here is my point.

Once we get outside of 6-7 hours the committee needs be much more worried about balancing the brackets, not rewarding a lower seed like Kentucky with a favorable location than giving some members of a fan base a long but drivable destination. If the committee cant give a true location preference within 6 hours then there are more important task at hand imo

For some reason I’m guessing if we got shipped to Wichita and a seed below us got Pittsburgh you wouldn’t be very happy.

Latest matrix update...

The Bracket Project's Bracket Matrix - 2018

Cincinnati moves up to a 2, Michigan State and Auburn Top 3 seeds...all 3 teams are very close though.

Tennessee still in that third 3 seed spot, Michigan has moved up to a 3 as well right behind Tennessee, but Vols have a slight lead on them...I think if Tennessee wins just 1 that’ll be enough to keep them ahead of Michigan.

Would really be nice if Auburn got knocked out in their opening game of SECT.

Interesting...I think most Vol fans would object. Anywho...like I said I hope you’re correct, would be curious if there is historical evidence that supports them not following locational procedure.

I care about Match up, brackets and days it's played more than those small differences. If we play until Sunday I hope we draw a site that is Friday/Sunday.

Thursday/Saturday:
Pittsburgh
Wichita
Dallas
Boise

Friday/Sunday:
Charlotte
Detroit
Nashville
San Diego

So it would see to me we ar likely playing Thursday unless we get high enough to be in Nashville.

Thanks for posting. If we play Sunday we better win it and get to Nashville or the sweet 16 is going to be tough imo

Doesn’t matter where we play. Defense travels and we have a good one. We are capable of beating any team in the country at home, road or neutral court.

Of course. I agree but tired legs don't play as well as fresh ones. I hope we don't play 3 games over the weekend and have to play on Thursday
