By your own admission the speed limit does not restrict the speed in which you drive your car. It just allows the government to tax you when you are caught doing so. Which if you are on the road very much is not that often by comparison to those actually exceeding the limit. That would be an interesting study.

If the government mandated modules that forced your car to go the speed limit you are in, that would be a restriction.
All you have now is a choice and the governments ability to hold you responsible for it after the fact.

Yep, it will be gone like the wind. I do think that people hold grudges longer than the people who did the wrong. I suspect gun owners may hold it against these companies a little longer than the ones supporting them for their stance. That's just my opinion though.

I would guess not 10 minutes after the Lt Gov made that statement his phone rang and it was Deltas execs and that both sides are talking about how the value each other and want to resolve this misunderstanding.

They have not pushed the NRA agenda. It is fairly simple. The left get all butt hurt over something then mass attack whatever that is and drag everyone around them into it. The right have sit around and watched this happen over and over then decided to play the game. Now you are butt hurt because they are playing the game by your rules.

Furthermore don't tell me I don't understand the complexity of issues. I've worked in the aerospace field for 16 years.

Since when did delta push the NRA agenda on anyone? All they did was offer discounts to members to attract their business. They've pushed a much bigger agenda by kowtowing to the left by removing the discount. By doing this they've picked a side. Let's sit back and see how much it pays off for them.

There is no "complexity" here, just stupidity, on both sides. Let me try to connect the dots for you...


If there is no Parkland shooting, this "face-off" never happens. Delta gets their tax break, and the NRA discount continues as it has for years. Non-event.


Parkland. Now, the left and their massive band of useful idiots are targeting anything and everything that has to do with guns, the NRA, the 2A, etc. So one of the PR / CEO wonks over at Delta decides to pull back on the NRA discount so as to not end up in what is becoming a very wide-ranging set of crosshairs for the left and MSM.


Georgia politicians are no different than anywhere else (except maybe California). They know to never let an opportunity to capture votes slip past. Georgia has swung over to the conservative side in the last few election cycles. If it's Liberals -vs- the NRA, GA leans NRA. So Cagle thumps his chest and finds a microphone (hint: guess who's running for Governor next time around?).


Prediction: Delta will get their tax break (one way or another), and the NRA will do just fine without a discount. Delta will likely lose a few flyers in the short-term, but this too will eventually pass. Folks these days have about a two-week attention span.


There, now we can be friends again...

You don't have a clue what the economic discussion is. It move past the airline not giving reduced rates for NRA members so they can attend the annual rally.
