I think you are wrong. The graduation rate is higher than it has ever been. (male and female)
There are problems within the education system but it is not a broken system. It may be the very thing holding together a broken society.
It eventually worked with tobacco --but I sadly agree about the guns. If more and more dead children don't move people to open their mind and hearts, then no, it won't end well.
Unfortunately, our nation has lost it's innocence, and we can never go backwards, no matter how much we all wish it.
The only real solution is to look at other countries and see what they do that successfully curbs the gun violence. If not, it will be just more carnage.
Those are all great laws and obviously still not sufficient.
That why the loophole should be closed and I would cap the number of guns that could be purchased in a given time frame.
I'm pretty sure the NRA insured that the loopholes were embedded in the laws in order to maximize total gun sales. Which is their only objective.

Does that mean guns are only the cause if 100% of gun owners kill someone?
