Oh, I thought we were going to have a discussion.
IIRC, you could buy army surplus M1 Carbines for a lot less than that. You mentioned earlier that you are 70? If thats true then you remember being able to purchase a semi- automatic rife from a catalog and have it delivered to your house for $150-$200. No background check required.
So tell me again about the availability of firearms being the problem today.
Fact - prescriptions of ADHD and anti-depressants have sky rocketed since the late 90s.
Fact - almost every killer in the mass attacks were on or at one time on these drugs.
Now your turn.
Limiting the availability of semi-automatic rifles and high-capacity magazines (explain to me why it is necessary for people to have the right to own these) will most certainly reshape the effectiveness of mass shootings. I don't see it as THE solution, I see it as a part of the solution.
I am going to my neighborhood sports bar to watch the UT basketball game. I'm done discussing this.
I agree except for the 10%. The 90% that are prescribed need parenting, and the 10% need to be in an institution.I don't know what we're debating, but I'll jump in. I think that 10% (at most) of the children being prescribed drugs actually may need them.
The other 90% is a get rich scheme for doctors and pharma.
Ok, we are in agreement on this. So before we start stripping rights from people shouldnt we look at the root cause and work from there?
As a Monday morning quarterback, they should have gone in and shot him.
Of the 20 mass shootings with the most fatalities in US history, 3 happened in 2009 when the Dems had a filibuster proof majority. 2009 is the only year that had 3 of the Top 20.
The Dems can get off their high horse about gun control....The Dems have just as much blood on their hands as the NRA...
