Mass shooting of the week, high school in parkland, FL.

So the shooter’s brother has been involuntarily committed to a mental health facility. Is it genetics or were they abused?

Because I see no reason to debate anything other than guns in a gun debate. That’s all. If a deer rifle is ok then that’s tough. Because an AR10 is in 7.62 and meets that. Honestly I think it sounds more about look and form instead of lethality for you. That’s fine it’s your opinion. My opinion is about lethality so we basically aren’t going to agree. Cheers.

I'll drop it. Your refusal to answer says all that needs to be said as far as I'm concerned.

I did answer it politely. This is a gun debate let’s talk about guns. And due to your fixation on form over lethality we won’t agree. I guess 10 people a minute is your acceptable death rate for a reasonable instrument. I’d like to focus on keeping that instrument out of the hands to realize that 10 death a minute rate.

I’m off to the auto show. Enjoy.

Lol.

Come up with some reasonable points and let's debate.

lol..... I can't even get anyone on here to tell me where they personally would draw the line.

No one wants a debate. They just want to spout all kinds of meaningless gun "knowledge" and then act like my lack of knowledge excludes me form the debate.

Limit purchases to 3 per year.

Anything that can fire more than x rounds in y seconds is illegal.

Must be 21 years old to purchase.

Nothing that even looks like an assault weapon is legal.

Three month waiting period on the purchase of a handgun.

Mandatory reporting of lost or stolen guns within 48 hours. Failure to do so is a felony resulting in loss of right to own guns.

There are some truths that I (and millions of reasonable Americans) hold to be self evident.
We have a huge gun problem.
We have to many guns in circulation.
Guns are to easy to purchase.
Guns cause way to much death and destruction.
The pro gun side is unreasonable and many are borderline crazy.

Every time I allow myself to get sucked into one of these threads I become more disillusioned with my preferred paradigm that people are generally good and reasonable and desire what is best.

I have no clue. Should I state again that I proudly know almost nothing about guns.

I'm asking you gun experts because I obviously don't know. don't deflect in order to avoid the question.

IN YOUR OPINION, WHAT SHOULD BE THE MOST DEADLY WEAPON THAT CAN BE LEGALLY PURCHASED AND WHAT SHOULD BE THE LEAST DEADLY WEAPON THAT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL TO PURCHASE....AND WHY?

You guys are the experts, obviously I'm not.

What does that even mean most deadly or least deadly? Dead is dead isn’t it?

Dictator Luther.

Many of us are “unreasonable” because we’ve drawn a line in the sand, saying, not one inch further. We’ve dealt with far too many restrictions already. “Shall not be infringed” remember?

What are we going to do about all the child murder and why does our country suffer mass shootings more than other developed countries?

Genuine question. I am a gun owner but am beyond sick of incidents like this. Not willing to give up my hunting rifles, shotguns or home protection, but I really don't see a ****ing point in making semi-automatic tactical rifles available to the public.

What’s the difference in a semi-auto tactical rifle and a plain old semi-automatic rifle?

You really don't want to have this debate with me...

You could not have proven the correctness of my last two comments any better had you tried. Thanks....I guess.

Please see a doctor.

Why because all the gun control “solutions” that have been tried have failed, and we’re damn tired of political hacks playing games with our lives? Gun free zones are killing zones.

It aint easy....especially considering the constant roadblocks put up by the NRA crazies.

You seem to fail to grasp logic. Banning any type of firearm won't do sh!t. You only create more creative and cunning killers that way that will use fire, big trucks (see the crazy muzzies), poison, and improvised explosives.

Gun free zones are nothing more than killing zones. Hundreds or even thousands of unarmed people in one place. It's like fish in a barrel.

The one thing that is a common denominator in the vast majority of these mass killings is prescription medications.

Nothing that even looks like an assault weapon?? Lmao.. u gotta be kidding me. Look up a standard m1a socom. Looks like a normal deer rifle, right? Way more deadly than an "assault weapon" looking .223

Guaranteed he doesn't know what that is without Google.

Perhaps you should see one. Bans on plenty of things have been tried over the years and it only creates a black market. See prohibition. What on Gods green earth would make you think that a ban or firearms would have any effect when the high murder rates with firearms exist in this country in gun strict areas like Chicago, Baltimore, D.C., New York, ect??

No. I'm not hearing about mass shootings with deer rifles. I actually think deer rifles are probably used for deer hunting which I'm 100% fine with.

Why do you keep asking me questions while refusing to answer mine?
Google Charles Whitman. I believe he got 17 with a deer rifle.
Edit: Killed 17, wounded 31. Where there's a will, there's a way.

You seem to have gotten a lot of bull**** responses to this question. You CAN hunt with an AR15, but most people don't hunt with an AR15.

I own one that I use to kill coyotes (rarely) but I don't necessarily feel like I should have the RIGHT to own one. They're stupid. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they were outlawed.

Lol “it’s a stupid gun”. Great argument. Why should it be banned over any other gun out there? It’s not the most accurate. Not the most powerful. Doesn’t have the largest capacity. Why that gun? Besides “they’re stupid”, of course

Man,this is some of the dumbest crap I have ever read. Congratulations. If this were to become law you would solve zero, zilch, nothing.

Want to stop mass shootings?

1) Eliminate gun free zones

2) Arm teachers and add armed guards to immediately splatter the perps brains on the first pull of the trigger.

3) Better mental health in this country is needed.

4) Stop reporting on these events when possible. You take away the sicko's 15 minutes of fame then.
