Share that with GV, apparently Democrats caused all of this somehow.
Where did I call them "weapons of war?" Or say they should be banned. I'll wait.
So it is solely the fault of evil Democrats? Has nothing to do with parenting?
Again, I will ask what is the difference between other first world countries that don't have several school shootings per month and the USA? The big difference seems to be the access to guns and gun ownership per capita.

Its population size and culture. Violence has always been glorified. This country was founded on and gained its back to back World War Champions status based on violence. Our country nuked civilians not once, but twice. Think about that. This place is still the wild west, just less dust, and less legal prostitution, but better hygiene.
Also we can blame PC culture. No one ever said of these mass shootings "boy we didnt see that coming!". Everyone always knows who the one to snap is...but people are too afraid to "label" or "stereotype" someone..
So the second amendment is to blame and the fear of loosing it?
I'll let you in on a secret.
It's not gun ownership.
Here's the list and I took off the obvious ****hole countries where one might expect such things to happen. But here's some "civilized" top 25 countries that don't seem to suffer from the same problem:
Estimated number of guns per capita by country - Wikipedia
Cyprus
Urguay
Norway
France
Canada
Austria
Iceland
Germany
Finland
Switzerland
Macedonia
Australia
Montenegro
New Zealand
Greece
Croatia
I'm sure someone on Twitter mentioned that lol
The first paragraph is what I feel is incorrect. The second paragraph in your post can be debated.
I just feel violence is part of our culture. The US was never conquered by anyone unlike every single European first world country. Without trying to get too philosophical I think that has a big cultural impact.
I also believe that the mass shootings show a blatant failure of the metal healthcare in this country which, in my opinion, stems from people not wanting to call people crazy. The whole "lets medicate and integrate into society" thing. And of course there is terrible parenting that is to blame, fake diseases like ADHD which enable bad parenting and out of control kids.
After this shooting the first thing I thought about was I can without a doubt point a finger at one person at work who would be the one to do something similar. The signs are all there. The arrest records speak for themselves..but no one is going to be proactive..We are a reactive society.
Excellent post. A lot of these medications being prescribed have horrible side effects too.
