I loke the hire. Just not sure about as RB coach but I guess it'll work if you can hire former band members as head coaches though sometimes that doesn't work out.

I read they could swap up coaching roles...maybe Helton to RB while Weinke works with QBs, Kelly has coached RBs as well as WRs too before. Hardesty is also on staff. RBs should be good. Offense staff looks solid now with Osovat add as well.

Not a reach at all. Doug Matthews said a day or two ago that a monkey could coach running backs. Plus, the biggest thing about Weinke is that IMG Academy pipeline that he’ll have a big in with.

I'd rather have R.Gillespie who played the dang position. CW was a QB!!!

Obviously Gillespie had no trouble breaking the color barrier and if you don't think that's important these days you are mistaken.

Not happy at all but guess we will see.

They have already announced there may be a shake up in what position coaches are coaching. I personally think you make Weinke the QB coach and have Helton take RB's. If Helton is good enough to be OC he should be capable of coaching RB's.

I think Helton is the more accomplished QB coach. I go with that.

If he can help recruit some great players out of the IMG Academy then this will be a fabulous hire.

Just his recruiting alone should be worth hiring him.

Anyone can coach the RB's.

Blocking and reading the D is what has to be coached the most with the RB's and who better to teach how to read the D than a QB?

I like this hire.
