To Protect and to Serve II

A little humor into this thread.

We now return to our regularly scheduled stereotyping and judgement of a profession by its worst examples...
Well it is our resident Russian wannabe. Ironic that he wants so much to be Russian yet has no clue what cops and law enforcement there are remotely like.

I'm still trying to figure out why we only have to post negative things in this thread.

Maybe because that's all there is?

I'd love to post how my local cops came by and mowed my grass today instead of writing a ticket, but I can't.

Probably because your unions have created the world’s largest prison population. Combine that with police brutality and use of lethal force so bad that the UN human rights council has chime in on it, and it shouldn’t be that hard to figure out.

I'd like to take note of the first time you've invoked anything about the UN as support for your views.

Only when it fits your slanted agenda, right?

Does the UN have issues? Sure. Do I support it? No. But the point still stands that the issue of police brutality in this nation is bad it has gained international intention. Meanwhile you and others in this thread live in denial.

I have mixed opinions about this.

1. If you can't open carry in The South, where can you open carry? Makes no difference to me whether they are law enforcement or civilians. We still have far too many snowflakes that are scared of guns.

2. Yet, having said that, there is this thing about private property. If someone doesn't want you smoking in their restaurant, we are expected to comply. Unfortunately, the same should be true here, Like it or not.

Outback’s policy is to allow LEO to go armed in their stores. The manager apparently didn’t know the rules and told the officer to leave. They had the manger call and apologize.

I found it to be funny.

Sad that others have to see the worst thing possible instead of having a laugh.

It was funny.

This thread is full of some of the strangest posters this site has to offer, and they're all smarter than you and me.

Just ask them.

That is the irritating thing when it comes to cops on this issue. They fall back on the defense of "just following orders"/"enforcing the law", yet they don't use the power of their union to influence changes in the laws or in developing better training.

The “we don’t make the laws argument” first shows a lack of morality and second is a lie. Their unions 100% ensure gun laws, the drug war, and other laws stay intact.

Police unions ensure drugs are illegal? Huh?

100%. Police unions, prison guard unions, sheriff’s unions, all fight to keep drug and gun laws intact. Their lobbyists were strongly involved in TN not allowing medical marijuana last session and not becoming a right to carry state.
