Well, duh. Getting to the Final Four is of course much more important than what seed you get. Literally nobody here is suggesting that getting a 1 seed is more important than making it to the Final Four.

It's bad enough that I actually can't suss out whether you're a troll or just woefully misinformed.

My jimmies aren't rustled, but I feel bad that your reaction to our team's stellar performance and rising stock of late is to imagine why they're likely to lose if they end up on the top line of the bracket.

We all want Tennessee to be in the Final Four. The best way to get there is with a 1 seed. None of your machinations or fears can change that.

I still have seen zero proof on how being a 1 seed is bad. You can hold that opinion, I guess, but the rest of us will be here hoping to avoid Virginia, Nova, and Purdue until the Final Four.

I think after we go 7-1 in the remainder of the season, we will have a 2 seed locked up before SEC tourney. Anything can happen in the tourney. There are 6 teams in SEC good enough to come out on top.

I think we’d need to win out to have a 2 seed locked up entering the sec tournament

I've posted it before, but we have held at least a 9 point lead in all 5 of our losses. In the two you mentioned, we had 14 point leads.

The 2nd paragraph is fake. Preferring to not have a #1 seed is not a reaction to a stellar performance. That's not an accurate description of what I've been posting about this team and I've been making them since before last summer.

It's not the reason why though. It's an after the fact observation. I don't believe that this team will be more successful simply because they get the #1 seed in the West Region. This year especially there are not clear upper level blue bloods being granted the highest seeds and the easiest paths. This team is going to have to fight just as hard for a deep run no matter where they're seeded.
