Lol.

It should be but expectations will be off the charts next year. With how some in this group view basketball as a win every game pretty sport to be good it might be rough around here.

Unfortunately won’t be picked 13th preseason

Yeah, the miserable will find misery in anything if they look hard enough. The key is deciphering who those people are and ignoring them.

(Some) Higher seeds get to play closer to home in this new pod system. Not guaranteed. We'll know nothing until selection Sunday. Everything out there is pure guessing.

For example if Tennessee were the #1 overall seed, they’d play in Nashville. That means they’d host the 1/16 and 8/9 games. If we aren’t the #1 seed and the other top seeds have other sites that are closer then maybe we’d be a 2 and still play in Nashville. Then they would be 2-15 and 7-10.

At least that’s how they’ve done it in the past. Things are changing so maybe it’s different now

Thinking about buying some

Why only Sunday?

How much?

Sunday is the only day I can go, meeting my son (UTC '19) for a redeaux like we did 9 years ago at the FedExForum. Got them from stubhub, $200 after fees and taxes for nosebleeds. About the same price and location a decade later.

Thanks

Speaking of the whole 8-10 team getting in thing...

Texas A&M could finish 20-11(8-10) and have a RPI of 26 and SOS of 11, does anyone actually think they’d get left out?

And when I say speaking of I’m referring mainly to Ziti...

According to the SOR/Computer average on the NCAA team sheets, Tennessee (16.67 avg) is tied for 13th with Auburn, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech.

That puts them all on the 4-seed line.

Btw, Clemson lost their best player for the year. So I expect they'll fall.

Awesome thanks...Sagarin is the only model that doesn’t have us 12-18, he has us 29th...if you removed his rating or if his was in that 12-18 range we would be at the tail end of the 3 seeds or first 4 seed.

His model is still weighting preseason rankings. Which at this point in the season I don't believe should be a factor at all. By selection time, that won't be an issue. If you use his "recent" model which doesn't have any influence from preseason ratings, we're ranked 17.

Of course, this is impacting other teams as well, so hard to say we're we'd fall exactly, except that we are certainly one of the teams being held back the most in his rating.
