That's the same deal with the Old Testament as well. I would rather put my faith in those Godly men then some of these so-called scientist.

You're assuming the men to be godly (I don't know them, nor do you. I don't know their motivates. Nor do you).

You're assuming all of the scientist to be ungodly.

That's a lot.

Yes I’m a Jewish.
I practice a brand of Judaism that believes that the last prophet of G-d came in the form of Yeshua. The last prophet is also known as Messiah. Messiah is different then all previous prophets as he was issued the actual authority and power of G-d. Much like the angle of the lord in Exodus. Yeshua was the authority of G-d without actually being G-d. We believe he is the literal fulfillment of Leviticus 4-5-and 6 as spoken by Isaiah and Daniel. We believe and put our faith in Messiah and the things he said of himself as the path to the one and only All Mighty G-d.

Commonly known as Messianic Judaism.

Hope that helps.

Talk me through your views of the after life if you don't mind. Specifically as it relates to translates of Sheol and if you actually believe in hell or not.

All we have to go by is their historical testimony and their historical documented work.

I agree. But you make an assumption that the men recording that history did so without bias and that they were given this message from god and that they added nor subtracted anything from gods message.

I don't have that much faith in man

You're taking the word of man on almost everything.

I don't disagree. That's my issue. He claims the Bible as superior because it's from God. But he's making that claim based on what man has told him.

Joseph Smith claims his message is from god also.

Do you believe that the original Hebrew and Greek scriptures to be the word of God?

Some sceintist are very Godly, and no, Joseph Smith is a heretic.

How do you know the people who wrote and translated every book in your bible, how do you know as a fact that their were 0 Joseph Smiths in that group?

That's the overall issue with religion. It's tainted by man.

Idk. That's the best answer I can give you. I go to church. I accept the things from it that I believe make life better. I reject views I don't believe to be beneficial.

There is no enteral life in hell. No eternal torment or torture. You’re raised to judgement that brings eternal life or a permanent death

Thanks. That's essentially where my views are. Between the mistranslations of sheol and the fact that god punishes people on earth, not in the after life, in the Old Testament I can't find sound reasoning for the belief in hell.

My view is that it was taken from Greek culture and added as a scare tactic. Few things I hate more than the minister who tries scaring little kids into approaching the alter.

The current concept of Hell comes from the Devine comedy “Dontes enferno”. The only eternal torment is for the fallen angles who are already immortal. We are a living soul. We don’t have one. At least not yet.

It’s worthless and does more damage than good.

Prophecy fulfilled the resurrection of Jesus Christ the testimony of the Saints historical evidence. If that is not enough to convince you, then I really don't have an answer for you.
My question to you is do you really want to believe? Are you really seeking truth?
