We should name a street after you. Trolled us hard, but made some witty tweets that got Currie fired! You are a beacon of hope.

Beaver Street? That might not go over so well on campus. It definitely couldn't be near the girls dorms.

Yet, here we are, in the largest board thread chain (likely in CFB history) talking about him...

Acknowledge the hypocrisy in your views. Do it now!

You’re right, it was probably Beav that started the Gruden lore way back when and is also the reason this thread was started. Im done arguing with fellow Vol fans though. Hopefully this hire is someone we can all rally around. Take care ;)

He doesn’t really understand football very much. Because he built an empire he thinks he can do no wrong and he/they are drunk on power. He just wants to be the biggest guy/family in the room. Once you get to that level many people just don’t care about things other than their own wants and desires. They are a cancer on this program.

That's what I assumed, and thanks for answering. You just need to look at the Browns and tell he makes horrible decisions, I just had no idea how influential they were with coaching and administrative hires. My own naivety I guess.

My turn, are you going to stick around Volnation now that Gruden is out of the realm of possibility? Or are you going to bid out your username for our next coaching search?

***I hope our next coaching search isn't for a long time, and I truly believe Pruitt can lead us to some success.

You know, I've been thinking about that. I decided that if Gruden was here, I'd change to "HearForGruden"but if someone else is hired (increasingly likely), I don't know what I do.

Generally, I follow the team via reddit/247/Marlon McKinney's list. Although, I've really come to appreciate this board. To the extent that once I remember to call 247 and cancel (most ridiculous cancellation policy ever), I'll never go back and come here instead.

The new troll opening line...

So anyone that wanted Gruden is a troll? The man is simply saying that he was looking at it from a realistic point of view no need to get upset all because you really didn’t and still don’t know what all was 100% factual.

Doug Matthews on 104.5 Nash earlier said something to the effect that he wasn't sure Currie was even courting Leach, they let him go out west to get their ducks in a row so they could call him back and fire him ... and that Phil had nothing to do with backstabbing Currie ... and Currie was effectively dead after the Schinao spectacle, no coach would have signed anything with him becasue they knew they couldn't trust him ...

I saw something where Currie used a K State booster's plane to make that trip for Leach. The idea being he did not have permission to pursue him officially. Anyone see if that has been confirmed?

There is a chance of that. If it was Pruitt, you would think that it already would be announced.

I agree with this and the speculation that Fulmer is doing the interviews for "the one". Every other team looking for a coach has hired or released a statement regarding their new head coach.

1. So we've talked to Tee about HC or OC/Assistant HC with the "right guys" in place.

2. It has been mentioned by several outlets that we have talked to current DC to gauge their interest in coaching (although the media insists its a HC position).

3. Fulmer was allegedly in Cincy when he disappeared from the local media

4. Fulmer was going to be flying back to Birmingham and then to Knoxville to announce Pruitt. Now he is still in NYC.

5. No public statement about "the one" turning us down as was the case in 2012.

6. Multiple mentions of UT in different shows and most recently on MNF(we were told to watch).

Maybe Gruden is not going to be the next head coach at our great University, but I cannot fathom a traditional coaching search taking this long without installing assistants around a man that hasn't coached in a decade.

Either way I enjoy keeping up with the thread and will post more in the future instead of lurking as I have for years.

Good call, wait 15 minutes and you will generally hear (at least a synopsis) here.
