Hey slick. I wanted Gruden but had the foresight to know it wasn’t actually a possibility. I am asking the king troll why he was trolling. Mind your own interactions.

Did you literally get up in your feels on a message board. If you’re here to argue I think you know what you need to do. GTF.........

This question has been answered nearly as many times as the "why would you want Gruden" question.

If you don't see the answer you are either incapable of understanding, or intentionally dense (see, troglodyte).

If it's the latter, just accept your reality. Say it out loud. It will make you feel better. "I. Am. A. Troglodyte."

See, isn't that better?

Now wait a minute. Why has Fulmer been running everywhere acting like he is putting together a staff?

It was postulated by some that all these names were actually Fulmer interviewing staff for Gruden since him doing it would leak out.

Pruit will build a buddy system staff and we will be bammer bastards, if we do win championships it will only be said we did it with a Bama trained man. We lose even if we win. TN history and culture will be tainted with Bama blood.

If you don't understand how media/strategy works, then it probably doesn't make sense. This is a closed universe of players. By keeping his posts protected, he made his twitter a commodity. By building desire, he built a following. Think about it this way, I made a twitter for the sole purpose of messaging him. I now have 50+ followers, purely because I was followed by him. I've never tweeted, or anything. Like it or not, he did build brand image, and did so in a very informed and strategic way.

His message was widely shared, he got plenty of views, and he became a talking point in the discussion. Believe him or not, you have accept those facts.

Additionally, its all about framing. Did he "pray" on hopes, or did he use our hopes as fuel for raising consumer expectations? Did he troll us, or did he take some inside information and leverage it towards an objective?

This "b'b'b'but beav, you proooomised us Gruden." sentiment is childish and ignorant. You are a d*mn adult. It is not anyone's fault but your own if you buy into hype and it doesn't come to fruition. Stop blaming other people because your hopes didn't become reality.

Beaver talking to us didn't make Gruden an impossibility or any less likely. Him posting here didn't directly make any big name coach unwilling to come here.

Had Currie not tried to shove Schiano/Doeren down our throats, we would have gladly turned our Gruden optimism into delight for a competent coach.

Lol, ok man. He didn’t even tag his “victims” in his first attacks on twitter. He had as much influence as a kid with a white flag in a snow storm.

My turn, are you going to stick around Volnation now that Gruden is out of the realm of possibility? Or are you going to bid out your username for our next coaching search?

***I hope our next coaching search isn't for a long time, and I truly believe Pruitt can lead us to some success.

Extremely odd for a lawyer not to have something to say.

Efficiency in action.

No reason to do anything to alter the course of the board unless I think we're going down the wrong rabbit hole. I want my Grumors, and I want us to be a family. (I'll accept other big fish rumors as a substitute).

Yet, here we are, in the largest board thread chain (likely in CFB history) talking about him...

Acknowledge the hypocrisy in your views. Do it now!

And if I told you that interview wasn't for Leach, but rather for Currie?

Given Currie knew he was a dead man walking, I would completely believe that.

Doug Matthews on 104.5 Nash earlier said something to the effect that he wasn't sure Currie was even courting Leach, they let him go out west to get their ducks in a row so they could call him back and fire him ... and that Phil had nothing to do with backstabbing Currie ... and Currie was effectively dead after the Schinao spectacle, no coach would have signed anything with him becasue they knew they couldn't trust him ...

So let me ask you this. Given that all we have heard about Haslam's input and chicanery over the years is true, is this simply Haslam's desire for control, or that he doesn't know jack **** about football, or both? I think I know the answer, but would appreciate your input.

He doesn’t really understand football very much. Because he built an empire he thinks he can do no wrong and he/they are drunk on power. He just wants to be the biggest guy/family in the room. Once you get to that level many people just don’t care about things other than their own wants and desires. They are a cancer on this program.

I believe it's time to call out the big guns. I believe a letter from Sabannochio might be due.

Dear Mr. Gundy, Morris,Leach Brohm, Doeren, Tucker, Pruitt, Gruden, Coach,

As I write this letter to you, we are a Volnation divided. Our hearts have been torn asunder and yearn to be stitched back together. You are the white knight, or whale, or pirate, that can nobly ride in on your steed, or manatee, or schooner, and soothe all of our pain. If only you were here now where you could gaze deeply into our tearful eyes, you could see the passion and desire we have for our beloved Vols, and the tenderness and excitement with which we would welcome you. Don’t be the Jesse Scroggins to our coaching search, our collective broken and bleeding hearts could not bear it. I believe Bonnie Tyler put it most eloquently, “I Need a Hero, I’m holding out for a hero til the morning light.” Won’t you be that hero? Morning is coming soon, and my heart can’t take much more hurting.

Love,

Sabanocchio
