That’s the only thing that makes sense. Unless you’re telling him “no thanks” face to face.

I am a little worried they all wanted to bring him in to make sure his personally life wasn't going to be an issue. I think those questions have to be asked

Lets be honest here. With Pruitt, we're going to be a better football team than we have been since Fulmer was on the sidelines. Again, elite defense and elite recruiting. That is a heck of a foundation. Add an elite OC and we'll win a lot of games.

Was not excited about him when he was mentioned early on. He can recruit very well. Starting to warm up to it. Hope he can hire a big time OC.

Just some thoughts. With all of the VFLs foaming at the mouth for Tee, they will probably be super pissed off when Phil hires a bammer instead of Tee. Are any of them expressing any anger? I havent looked.

Unless Phil has sold both Pruitt and Tee on him coming as OC. If anybody could talk Tee into coming to be the OC, it would be Phil IMO.

Phil is a recruiter. Recruiting is the lifeblood. Two huge recruiters right there.

why would he do that with stidham, pettway, kerryon and those receivers coming back?

Fair or not there would always be the question of how much input he actually has and that's he's riding Gus's success. Plus, I would think Auburn wouldn't match a raise depending on how high we get because there's gonna be the assumption that Gus can groom another OC.

I'm currently in grad school at Auburn, and there's also been rumblings that some of the early season issues with Auburns offense(mainly predictable conservative play calling) was Gus's choice and not Chips. And it wasn't until the LSU loss that he actually got complete control. If that is true having 100% control of his own offense might be appealing to him.
