I just don't like the idea of forcing a coordinator on a 1st time HC. It needs to be someone they are comfortable with. Lindsey did a great job at AU this year and has lots of connections in GA. He was a HC here in high school and his offenses set lots of records.

Just won the pac 12 Championship as an OC. I don’t think he’s getting enough credit for that around here. Tell me what offensive head coach doesn’t have influence on the play calling. They all do.

If Saban offered Lupoi the open DC position then it would boil down to whether Pruitt’s relationship trumps his ambition. Cuz, of course, Bama’s the better gig. I don’t know that he’s next in the pecking order tho.
