Just don't get how Steele is the front runner? Especially when you have Brohm, Pruitt, and several others that are better candidates from pretty much all aspects.

Could possibly save this Class

I don't see Steele as a HC, well not at UT. Maybe at a smaller school, maybe at a non power 5 at this stage in his coaching career. He seems like a Coordinator and not a HC. Not saying he isn't a good coach and maybe I'm missing something. But some people I've talked to are also scratching their heads if this happens.

There has to be some other explanation for him being a front runner. Has to be cause it just doesn't make sense.

And as far as the financial contract, no way in hell I would pay him more than 3 mil/year.

When was the last time the UT AD did anything that made 1 ounce of sense?

Yeah, I don’t get it at all. You can make a case for Steele maybe working out, but from where I sit, it just seems so much lower-percentage than these other guys. Surely there’s some reason if we hire him.

I think the cross over with Bama gives us the worst league schedule in the conference. Puts us at a disadvantage in our division and then you might have to beat Bama twice. Auburn had to beat UGA twice this year...
