There is literally no logical reason to hire Kevin Steele at Tennessee. If he gets hired either: 1. Phil is helping a friend. 2. Phil wants to be Barry Alvarez and basically coach. 3. Both.

No other way around it.

#2 might be likely. Maybe he's hiring Kevin Steele to be HIS DC. And he knows Kevin Steele will accept being a figurehead while Fulmer runs stuff behind the scenes.

Sure but if we had Leach in the bag and end up with Steele that’s pathetic. I was thrilled when Fulmer was named AD let’s hope he gets it right and most people would agree it’s not with Steele. We would get crushed.

Phil is too loyal. Wish Currie could have hired the Pirate. Would've made up for the Schiano(Haslam) fiasco.

1. I think it would be a possibility. I think Chavis is less likely of a possibility.

I’m not a tucker fan. He had some awful defenses at times in the nfl. I think it’s 90% Kirby’s Defense.
