D4H's 2017 NFL Draft Review (Best Picks, Best Drafts, and Predictions)

Since we're talking about your predictions. We are about to finish up week 13. Can you tell me how's Kelvin Taylor's season is going. Also, you were horribly wrong on Joey Bosa.

Nah man. Bosa is just lucky. D4H has said that. Its all just luck. He said Bosa wont be a first ballot HOFer, according to him, so that means he is a bust.

You gotta watch the lines of scrimmage more closely. He's been our best interior defensive lineman the last 2 years. He's a really good player. Reminds me a lot of Ray McDonald (former Florida Gator that played on the 49ers).

I think Kendal Vickers starts for 5-7 years in the NFL. He's not a star player. But he'll be solid.
I watch the DL give up about 400 rushing yards a game. They are all bad

also funny ho often he points out the flash in the pans guy, then goes off about his flash in the pan guy. Kamara is new and underutilized and Ds haven't had time to adjust, plus they have another guy to prep for. hardly means he has his ticket punched already to the HoF

Every Defense going against the Saints know about Kamara or they shouldn’t have a job. He’s certainly not underutilized either. Kamara is the one guy D4H was right on

My evaluations are purely done by the eye test. I don't need Alvin putting up historic numbers to know he's an all-time great. I saw it early this season when he was barely playing.

Alvin Kamara is not a flash in the pan and he ain't getting figured out. He's a special player.

just like every team should have known about Hunt, or anyone else new?

You mean Hunt as in the first few weeks of the season? Seems like they caught up to him pretty quick. Kamara has been the top producing back in the NFL since week 6. Defenses know all about him

I haven't been watching them closely, but the Chiefs' offensive line play the last several weeks has apparently been atrocious. When you have a struggling offense, all your offensive problems begin (and sometimes even end) there.

Also, I think Drew Brees and Sean Payton are a more formidable combo than Alex Smith and Andy Reid. New Orleans is running a true two-back system (Kamara and Ingram) with a better QB and better offensive line. I've watched some of New Orleans's games this year and Ingram/Kamara both have cavernous holes to run through. Kamara is just so shifty and hard to bring down and also runs routes well. Yes, teams know what is coming, but New Orleans is mixing it up and executing it so well it doesn't matter.

Agreed. Can't believe I forgot about him. I also forgot Evan Berry. Both will play in the NFL as specialists.

Berry as a kick returner and Daniel as a starting punter.

I would like to see the Chiefs take Berry and Eric teach him to play DB as well being a KR -- since the idiots at UT failed to develop him

He was kind of right on Kamara. He already crowned him as the next Marshall Faulk. Thats looney tunes.

The Marshall Faulk career comp is a bit premature. They certainly play similarly but Kamara has to show he can do it over multiple years

Kamara has the same ability Dobbs did with the shiftiness and ability to avoid hits. It's a freakish skill that very few players have. I wasn't sure it would translate to the NFL but it clearly has. Kamara definitely has benefited with Brees and Ingram next to him (as well as Payton giving him chances in different ways) but he's easily been the best rookie I've seen this year.

The king of this was Emmitt, IMO

FWIW, I drafted Kamara in two fantasy leagues, even though he was 3rd string. I'm pretty sure we all thought he was going to be pretty good? Maybe not?

I drafted him in my keeper as well. As a Saints fan I was ecstatic when we traded up to get him. It’s not a huge hit by D4H but one he got right

so you want to take a guy prone to injury and get him more snaps in a roll that will lead to even more contact?

I think we all figured Kamara would be good. There was a large outcry throughout his time at UT that he needed the ball more. But no one predicted HOF status, and it's still way too early to say that.

Stole this from another board. PFF grade on Tennessee defenders this year.
