Not sure who brought these to light, but the 2 biggest douche nozzles, screaming at Vol Fans for ruining an innocent mans career, were doing it long before Vol Nation. I guess Sexton must have gave them "info" that changed their mind

Anyone think the Boone to NYY and Edwards to ASU is more info of pending ESPN layoffs? I’m sure they both want to coach and I understand their positions. Maybe they know the same thing Gruden knows and they got out.

You know why that's ok? Because it was a decision from the higher up. Nothing to do with the fanbases. If the fanbases had not approved and had spoke up in a negative way, they would be labeled crazy and unrealistic too.

No one person is smarter than 1000, 100,000, or the fan base itself.

We as a fanbase could see that Schiano wouldn't work here. He wouldn't understand the culture. Plus like Madden always said, you are what your record says you are. He isn't a very good coach.

The talking heads try to put forth this persona of "we know better than you." They want everyone to think they are THE source for everything sports related. You have to come to us because you're uneducated and couldn't know anything that I don't know already.

If you listen to them discuss the situation at UT, it's always the fans fault.

Well it's not the fans fault. We have trusted those in charge and had been patient.

We were nice until it was time not to be nice.

None of them have the balls to do any real research and say what has been going in here for the last 10 years. It's lazy on their part but I guess it's what their comfortable with. I bet they spend more time in the make up chair than trying to be a journalist anymore.

Trot out there, give some stats on a player, an opinion on a team, make a score prediction and on to the next one.

Oh, while we are at ut, let's give an uninformed opinion on the Tennesse head coaching job. Let's bash them so we can look good to the rest of the country, give them what they want to hear.

Something like this scares the crap out of people. Your not supposed to stand up for yourself anymore. It goes against what's being pushed from the very top of our government today and has been for awhile.

All very well stated...another point...Not just us VN'ers, but all customers of media need to realize there are no more journalists. Hasn't been that way for years - mostly with the advent of cable tv. They're entertainers, pure and simple. Nothing more, nothing less. All about the ratings. Say this today, say that tomorrow because facts don't matter. Just keep the minions tuning in day after day because they're not industrious enought to do their own homework . . .

Because it shows that there was widespread belief that Schiano must have known something, and that when the post was first made, he was regarded as a mediocre coach?

As opposed to the media's current portrait of him as Saban Jr. with a halo attached.
