This is the truth, you are not going to get most sport reporters to go there. But the truth is getting out there, but I have no doubt the coaching world knows the basic truth. Jason Whitlock and others have put it out there, it's not hid anymore. And the rock said it all, even ESPN acknowledged in a round about way that there may be truth to the message.:rock:

And that move only proved what many have been saying for years. He thinks he owns the program, and that is NOT the case anymore. HE IS DONE making decisions. DONE!:rock:

What were they thinking ? Haslam had to believe he had so much control that he could dictate and whether anyone else liked it or not they would just have to eat the **** sandwich. I just can't rationalize that in my mind how they thought they could get away with that.

That's the history of Haslam's involvement in our program. Bringing in their own person at the last minute when it's too late to fight.

The key factor here is his complete lack of ability to control Fulmer.

I doubt very seriously the Phil exchanges Christmas cards with the man who helped see him out.

Gruden was on board. He had called potential assistants. Money was settled on. Meetings were had, and I think it's more likely than not an agreement was signed, with an announcement schedule laid out. Then Currie went off script and the domino effect of the last week unfolded.

We won yesterday, but does anyone think that the powers that be on our side will just abandon all of the efforts that have been made and not finish the deal? Without Gruden stalking the sidelines next fall, Haslam will have still achieved some form of victory.

AV said a long time ago that he would not break the official good news, but that he would tell us if and when it became a lost cause. Silence is golden my friends. Silence from AV and silence from Gruden means the ball is still rolling.

Bask in the glory of a battle hard won, in the knowledge that our great University is once again on the right track, and have some patience. Enjoy some downtime, enjoy your weekend, and know that what we all want is coming...

I believe that as well, no doubt. And this is what the media should be reporting. And this is what coaches in the real world probably full well know including Gruden. The tables have turned, the fan base is primed and our athletic department and University is going to soar! And the media will be left holding their mouths open and looking as stupid as they did on election night!SOON! Gruden to the HILL!:rock:
