So, Currie botches search, because he's following Haslam's orders.

He gets crucified all week by UT boosters, so he goes rogue and doesn't tell Haslam he's trying to hire Leach.

The next morning he is fired.

What am I missing here? Whether it's Fulmer or someone else the Haslam interference is still there in overwhelming force. Haslam's pawn is out, but Haslam himself must be removed from the process.

Everything changes when your next AD steps in.

Why?

Explain, please.

Your response indicates you have a particular next AD in mind. Who is that?

And what is the "everything" that changes with that person's arrival? And why? And how?

Stop speaking cryptically and mystically, please, and use plain English. If you can't or won't do that, you're really just a cheerleader, a rabble rouser, encouraging a continuation to this social movement without having anything to contribute of your own.

Right?

From my perspective, it's not really a big turnaround on my part, at all. It's that the "Movement" keeps shifting in its goals, and I--while initially shifting with it--at one point stopped moving along, planted my feet, and started asking questions.

I carefully read the Board of Trustees by-laws, to educate myself. I war-gamed, in my head, ways that the "Movement Leaders" might be trying to wrest control from Haslam. And I posted my questions on this board. You can go back and find them, Mike, they're there.

I haven't gotten any answers. I'm standing here, with my feet planted, the "Movement" has shifted so that I'm no longer where it is, and I'm still waiting for anyone who truly knows to explain in detail what the plan is, what result we're shooting for and how we expect to get there, and how it will give this program long-term benefits.

Short version: I didn't turn around; I just stopped turning along with the movement.

i gotta be honest ... i have some of the same questions, but i ain't hearing any answers. what are the major boosters doing to further this "agenda" vs haslam/currie? what's the end goal, and what's the plan to get there?

atlanta vol or someone connected to the booster end of this "revolt" needs to give us some info.

seriously.

Soooooo, I thought Haslam had nothing to do with the decision making on coaches........didn't we hear this from a very close relative in the political arena somewhere out of Nashville.........

Never trust a politician. Spot on.

Hey Grand .. how about a breaking news update since step one complete and Gruden still has not said no. . Does t this make it a possibility esp if we would bring in Blackburn

I hope so. I can't believe the PM would sabotage Tennessee.

You guys are missing the point on Peyton. He doesn't see it as sabotaging UT. He can't see the forest for the trees.

He's tied to the hip of the Haslam family. Peyton only cares to run with the big dogs. He doesn't view the Haslams the same way we do.

So, he's not intentionally sabotaging. He just doesn't understand what a cancer Haslam is the university.

Put all your energy into Charles now. He cannot be overlooked has AD experience at Stanford. He is the viable candidate.

I obviously know who Charles Davis

However I don’t know enough about his background

Can you share something and are WE 100% sure he would be on the RIGHT side

Right?

He doesn't have any plain answers. That's the long and short of it.

I leave the thread for about an hour to an hour and a half, and boooommm, all kinda things happen. Who are we going to get to be our coach? I'm still on board for Gruden, I just hope it's real Soon....

HoH/Currie//Sexton/Shiano....Leak

National spotlight zooms in...

PM/PF lead Currie on search for non Sexton candidates that are unattainable (or so bad we chase them away)..

Leach was accepted by fans...brilliant to tag HoH name for killing the deal.

Fans now rage against HoH...

This is fascinating!!

Gruden to the Hill!

Yes congrats.

We just had an AD fired for trying to hire a coach that the majority of the fan base favored....well played

Regardless of the 'puppet master' theory, if this is true it's not something I'd be happy about.

Not Phil or Blackburn? Or simply to make the NAACP happy about Tee and hes one of us?

Ok. I am saying this and no more. The reports about Phil will start to circulate he undermined John. So that may eliminate him. David is not a candidate from what I understand as of last night. He is dealing with other “things”. Charles has AD experience is a national sportscaster and is orange to the core. I see him as the only shot to get orange blood in the chair. So do many others so we need the fans to rally around him and see if we can get him home.
