Of course local media is eating it up... Leach speaks his mind, walks with a reporter to work every day... of course they want this. They've been locked away in solitary confinement for so long

What happened to local media beginning to turn on Currie and Haslam?

Everything is quiet now and everyone is drooling over Mike Leach. Yawn. Another 4 year debacle. Haslam puppet.

Start sending Mike Leach tweets encouraging him to run from the Currie/Haslam Hell!

Why in the world?

I realize it sucks but this is the best hire we've potentially had in the works out of this s*** show. Sooner fans still love the guy, Lincoln Riley is a Leach disciple and Oklahoma doesn't look too shabby. He's got a solid D at Washington State in a typically offensive driven conference....and he develops QBs like Spurrier..

Who in the hell (besides Gruden) do you folks want?

10M in the red not happening.

ESPN article this morning says that Leach has been offered an extension and raise but was “ underwhelmed”. This is a ploy to get more. He isn’t coming here. ESPN reporting no deal made and one was not imminent. Relax, it will shock me if it happens!

Do y?all realize how boring life is gonna be once UT actually hires a coach? I mean all we?ll have left to look forward to then is making fun of the weirdo family members we only see at holidays. And that won?t be nearly as satisfying as this ride we?ve been on.
-Steven Hargis

lol

I say UT students and fans should protest like they did for Schiano no matter who they hire...outside of you-know-who.

Just posting what I heard is all.

Leach is a fireball but he’s not dumb. It would absolutely shock me if he worked for anyone like Currie

Not so fast my friends....

....because as it pertains to Currie, there are a few glaring items to note about Wash. St.!

First, they do not have an AD presently. Second......
“(In an ironic twist, Tennessee would be hiring a coach from a school run by Currie’s former boss at Kansas State, Washington State president Kirk Schulz.)”

Mike Leach targeted in Tennessee coaching search

Hmmmm......

Maybe CURRIE is the one interviewing for a job? I love that conspiracy theory, but that's way too good to be true.

Leach is great, as long as it's not Currie hiring him....big picture.

I agree, but I’m also torn. I don’t want Currie to have any part of this. But again, Leach is not exactly a lap dog on a leash for Haslam. It’s a decent compromise. If it happens. Leach will use this for amusement, a little press time, and a bigger paycheck.

Al Wilson on Swain's show. Very passionate. Doesn't speak out a lot. "Tired of being quiet"

Frustrated & mad like everyone else about coaching search.

Regarding Tee Martin: Great coach, disappointed Tee not getting interview

Sorry no one seems to be concerned about the current players and lack of leadership, appreciates Butch's time here and what he did but thinks his lack of real connection to UT was an issue. Players were not fully committed to current coaching staff.

New coach needs to "give a damn about the UT"

70% of players are young black men, need someone who can relate to them.

It’s not about a coach. It’s about the people running the show. Much like Tee Leach would be snake bit the minute he steps on campus. If and i use that word loosely they got him to walk the line he’d be fired the minute he stepped off the path. Tennessee needs to get rid of the cancer st the top and coaches will flock to UT.

I’m not one to throw up red flags but I’m starting to raise one and it’s not a good one....

I gave this a like, but I love this. Spot on. I’m glad swain in taking a stand and encouraging VFLs to do the same.

Trolls with flamethrowers aimed at me will be ignored:
Any discussion about any coach is just noise to me. We should be focused on:
-removing John Currie as AD
-neutralizing Jimmy Haslam, (please remember his dad is not a real player any more)
-regroup/reset the coaching search
-send someone with an offer to get a public yea or nea from Jon GRUDEN.
-proceed from there
This parading of coaching candidates seems orchestrated to me. Both Fox Sports and WNML this morning are chewing on Leach like he's Christmas candy, loving it. For me, any coach hired before the above steps are taken is tainted.
Thank you....Gruden till he says no...to our faces.

No flamethrower here. This is spot on.

In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobbled stone
Neath the halo of an old street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp.
When my eyes were stabbed
By the flash of a neon light
That split the night.
And touched the sound of silence.

Soon.
