I think all the boosters not named Haslam are united and determined not to let Currie make the hire. No matter who the potential coach is good or bad. I hope it works and the program will get out from under the Haslam control once and for all.

Lol! That was my first black GSD. Amazing lines, high drive, high focus. He just wanted to be the pet and chase tennis balls. He did excel in his training though. Was one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned.

I think in the end they just want to be with their pack. I’ve never really subscribed to keeping them separate because they’re working dogs. I can see that it’s a better fit for some.

I agree, as long as the dog is a good working dog it should only help that they are in the house and a family dog. It's only the die hard, in my opinion maybe morons?, who keep the dogs away.

I always said that my dog, because he was a family dog was a better protector than the guy who didn't do so, he always laughed and said I was wrong. I told him break into my house, we'll see. Then, I'll come to his house, and I guaranteed him his dog wouldn't be a factor because he was a hundred yards away from the damn house lol.

Man, I’d love to have Gruden. But if we can’t,

Mike Leach! That guy is money. He’s weird and funny and doesn’t seem to take any crap. He’d love us here! He’s a guy I can get behind.

If you find follow Houston Kress on twitter, he posted an interview with Leach. “Walking to work with Mike Leach”. He walks to work 3 1/2 Miles every day. He takes a reporter on his walk to work. They pass a graveyard and everything.

Currie and Haslam still need to go, but we also still need a coach.

Have done a little digging and came up with some information.

Disclaimer: I selectively and arbitrarily identified categories to pull information from regarding candidates (at least my top three). It is based solely on a numbers game. I did not include character issues, overall win/lose in any position other than as a HC. However, I did try to as accurately reflect if the candidate had been in any capacity associated with a part of ANY type of championship team, including Superbowl, College National Champs, or Divisional/Conference champs. Below are the unofficial results:

Candidate A: Overall HC winning record is 0.557. Overall HC winning record in championships/playoffs is 0.000. Overall championships this candidate has been associated with at any coaching type position is 13.

Candidate B: Overall HC winning record is 0.541. Overall HC winning record in championships/playoffs is 0.556. Overall championships this candidate has been associated with at any coaching type position is 5.

Candidate C: Overall HC winning record is 0.719. Overall HC winning record in championships/playoffs is 0.571. Overall championships this candidate has been associated with at any coaching type position is 13.

All of the above candidates have some type of coaching related NFL experience. All are familiar with the SEC. So, while I would be happy with any of them, who would you all select?

Again, I have tried to as accurately represent this information but I could have missed a championship here or there. Keep in mind, championships include conference titles, divisional titles, etc. while the candidate was affiliated with that team, either as a HC or some other (non-player) capacity.

I will play. Candidate C

although i do like Leach as choice better than some of the other supposed candidates mentioned - i still hold firm that Currie must go first before anything else occurs .

@ChancellorDav @UTPresidentJoe NO HC Hire before Currie Fire - Let Blackburn make hire #FireCurrie #Blackburn4AD

It's amazing how so many of our fans are ignorant to what's really going on... smh.

Casual fan vs die hard fans....also, if you're not a die hard you probably have no idea of the HOH. They might have heard, but, it isn't like anyone is really carrying these stories anywhere except for a few people trying to get the word out.

This also brings back the point of the change in Neyland and gameday turning into a more social event and outing than being a football game.

As much as I love this tweet, Sean Salisbury is looking for followers. I hope he doesn’t share any photos.

No question and exactly why I did a retweet from someone else. I didn’t want him getting any more credit than possible but the alliteration was great so I went with it. I’m sure he called Matt Lauer so that the two could commiserate.

For a bit of brighter news this morning, ESPN is confirming a meeting but no deal has been discussed. Read the article. Says neither side wanted it known they were meeting. AND THE PLOT THICKENS.....

At some point you do realize we are going to end up with Hoke if everyone keeps doing this.

He's as good as half the people interviewed so far. I've said many times if your not going to get a good candidate better to just throw him some bones on a two year contract and try again in a year or two.

Trolls with flamethrowers aimed at me will be ignored:
Any discussion about any coach is just noise to me. We should be focused on:
-removing John Currie as AD
-neutralizing Jimmy Haslam, (please remember his dad is not a real player any more)
-regroup/reset the coaching search
-send someone with an offer to get a public yea or nea from Jon GRUDEN.
-proceed from there
This parading of coaching candidates seems orchestrated to me. Both Fox Sports and WNML this morning are chewing on Leach like he's Christmas candy, loving it. For me, any coach hired before the above steps are taken is tainted.
Thank you....Gruden till he says no...to our faces.
Thank You!
Gruden till it isn't
Too much talk about other coaches. They have other threads for that.
#FireBeforeHire #FireCurrie That is the only path to Gruden

Do y?all realize how boring life is gonna be once UT actually hires a coach? I mean all we?ll have left to look forward to then is making fun of the weirdo family members we only see at holidays. And that won?t be nearly as satisfying as this ride we?ve been on.

Of course local media is eating it up... Leach speaks his mind, walks with a reporter to work every day... of course they want this. They've been locked away in solitary confinement for so long
