Official Jon Gruden Thread XLVI

To all you trolls who come in here just to ridicule us about the grumors: get over yourself. Do you not realize that at this point it’s about far more than Gruden. It’s about having hope in something that seems lost. Although I normally wouldn’t feel like I had to go the extra step and say it’s a metaphor/analogy for our football team, I’ll do it just in case you can’t connect the dots. Things have been bleak for a long time. We come in here because we feel like there’s hope. If you don’t like it:

I tried and was told to get my balls out of my “boyfriends box” and that I had a “mangina”. So don’t even try that dude

You came in here snivelling and scared that if we the fans did not accept Leach, no other coach would take us.

That is when you were told to grow a set. People in this thread are not afraid.

I like Leach, and I know he's known for offense, but what are we goin to do next year? Throw the ball 40 times a game and have Kelly and Chandler splitting 15 carries a game?

We're not built for his offense. Unless he plans to change it up, I have many worries.

Once the new coaches hired, whoever he may be, can we officially put this Gruden Fairy Tail / nightmare to bed forever? Can we all not agree that his butt is never going to be the coach at Tennessee and stop thinking that we're going to fire every coach and replace him with Jon Gruden?

Nope... Gruden to the Hill.... We’ll get him next time.

Could you set this to a secular tune instead? This feels sacrilegious to me and seems inappropriate. Any coach we are talking about, including Gruden, should not be compared to our Savior. I know you do this in jest, but it is uncomfortable to me and some others I imagine. Thanks!

It’s more about transferring the power from haslam !!! His influence has choked the life out of our program ...

I agree, I think the power is shifting. I don’t see Leach as a Haslam hire honestly. I want them out as much as you, but his brother is the gov, they are our biggest boosters, and control almost the entire BoT, overthrowing that is gonna be a long process, not overnight

He changed it up a little going to WSU. If he’s hired he will have to change some things, but I don’t think it would be too difficult. Can’t be any worse than our zone read running game this year lol

If Leach is hired, the power is not shifting.

I can guarantee you that after we hire coach Derek Jones and he is let go in 3 years that everyone will be back saying that they know a booster and it's happening.

If we hire Gruden, no one would ask for Gruden again. (He's hired, so we don't need to wish for him anymore.) = Serious

But.. if you really don't want to hear about Gruden anymore, it sounds like you should be on the Gruden train so that we actually get him and then can focus on firing him instead of hiring him. 😉

Bc people want to protest every coach that’s not Gruden. Do you not think that’s a little much?

Dude they are protesting a end around from the start. A AD and a Owner that deceived many at UT and nearly every UT fan out there could see it. Many of us know the history with Haslam and UT, we want to see things REALLY change. Your just wanting Leach, and you don't have any clue if he even has a real shot either. Heck just look at the order this AD has interviewed people and what they have said. Currie and Haslam has screwed this search 6 ways to sunday. So why don't you just quit trying to convince people in this thread of anything and go to your pirate thread.

His brother is taking a huge hit. Have you looked at his brothers twitter page? Everything tweet he posts is met with about how his family is ruining UT football and is a criminal. He will soon distance himself from Jimmy publicly. Probably already has privately.
