I will take it without complaint or protest . I still have reservations because outside of 1 season he is a career 7-9 win coach outside of the SEC . Granted he was not at flagship programs , which UT has the potential to be again ...if someone would try .

Yeah I agree, but Les Miles record > Mike Leach record. So why is everyone excited about leach? Honest question, I don’t know jack about the guy

He takes bad programs and makes them a lot better. He is entertaining off the field. His teams score like crazy. He's known for coming up with great game plans that give his teams a chance to compete with much more talented teams.

Les took over for Saban, used his recruits to win a title after a very lucky upset filled end of the season, which was only the 2nd time ever for a 2 loss team. Went on to take a metric crap ton of NFL level talent and get owned by Saban for the most part. Got worse every year until fired.

I wouldn’t mind Leach. It would always be interesting around here for sure, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.

From what I can tell his agent is Matt Baldwin. Baldwin worked at IMG then had an apparent nasty split with them to end up at CAA Sports with none other than, you guessed it..... Jimmy Sexton. I’m guessing we are helping Mike get a raise too.

You do realize the coach prior to Leach at WSU was 9-40 and Leach since taking over has gone 35-34 (9-3) this year. He won more games this year than the previous coach did in 4 yrs.

Keep in mind that the AD that hired Leach just left to go to Nebraska... the timing could be good for this. Plus Leach doesn't seem to care what anyone thinks about him, so even if he is the the 7/8th choice I don't think that would bug him

Leach with actual 4 star talent? Could be awesome. He developed 2 and 3 Stars as well as any. Out 3, 4, and few 5 stars need this guy. Let’s hope this happens!
