Which is worse, dereliction of duty or gross incompetence?

Just asking before I send out the Christmas cards to UT admin.

Rizzo, I think it’s bigger than football. We had a chance to rid our school of a terminal disease and instead choose to take 2 aspirin. Yeah, we may feel better but we’re still dying.

1. Insiders on this board get 2nd & 3rd hand info

2. The info they get is most likely coming from low to mid tier boosters who actually think they are in the know.

3. Those mid tier guys hear "we are talking to Gruden" or he is first option

4. They in turn bring it here and things take off.

Think about it rational for a min. if the boosters know malicious acts by Currie/Haslam to keep Gruden deal from falling through. Then they would stand everything to gain by letting the public know via going to the media. And then things would get out of hand, and force Currie to be fired bring in Blackburn and the gruden deal that was 100% done could easily go through.


Hence this is an opinion based message board, and the info that goes around here is very minimal at best. Not bashing anyone, just stating what I think is true. Because if you look at what we had been told to be fact, Gruden was already locked in. Signed Sealed waiting to be brought to the podium. When in fact he MAY have been talked to in general, I seriously doubt anything was ever close. Or at this point in the S*** storm we would have solid proof he was talked to. And we do not nor ever will.

If Gruden really understands the dysfunction of the current administration including the boosters...and IF Gruden really loves UT and it's fans, then he could fix all of this by speaking up and saying what "insiders" have purported to be true.

Since he hasn't, I can only assume that he doesn't care for us the way we care for him. If he doesn't want to fight for the job or for us, then I'm perfectly fine moving on.

I still believe that we have to fix the Currie/Haslam issue.

It's not about Gruden. It's about having everything in place including facilities and revenue generated BY FANS, then being told to settle for a c list Coach time after time. It's wash rinse repeat and our ignorant fan base just keeps buying it. Pay $100 for a ticket and watch a movie that was shot with a cheap flip phone and edited to appear like the real deal. It's not going to change as long as we keep believing the bs they are feeding us.

How stupid is John Currie?
All he had to do is talk to Gruden: hey Jon I will give you 10.2 million a year, 8 million for assistants five year deal, what do you say?

Jon: John I love the University of Tennessee and that's a great offer but if I coach again it will be in the NFL.

Release all info just like with Gundy, people are disappointed but can move on.
Reality :
Pi$$ on Gruden and the fans big Jim and I are going after Shiano!

Ok, I guess we agree. I initially read your post as "Tennessee is dead" to be talking about Tennessee football
