I don't disagree with anything you've said here, really. I'm holding out a little bit of Hope that the big donors who claim to oppose Haslam leadership can actually do something to get Currie out. If they can't, and he does make the higher, that's my cue to exit, stage left.

Let me ask you this Exile, how close are we to a nuclear option?

We've gone back and forth on this, so you know where I stand on this, but do you think it's an option at this point?

If it is an option, would it do any good?

ESPN just laid off 150 people. Hey Gruden, hang on to Currie's business card. You may meed us more than we need you soon.

Love you too, man. Couple things:

I'm using voice to text.

You make several assumptions of your own in questioning my logic, which you have not proven yourself.

Can't really engage in the kind of debate with you that I wish, due to being safe on the roads and all. :)

Heh, no worries. Put down the phone while driving, you nut! :)

With all due respect Exile, I have simply lost respect for you.

You are going to watch this University burn to the ground, all the while holding on to the very information that might possibly save it. You have said that the people that have the ability to make change is aware of what you know, but they aren't doing anything. We can! So once and for all, I implore you to give it up before it's too late!

I hope that the two things being reported are true and won’t be swepted under the rug.

This Gruden thing needs to take off like a space ship and cgs needs to push and not settle.

Again if it’s all true

If true, then he told us NO. It is clear as day.

I know it's allot to ask of anyone....Please continue to send those emails, make the calls. I've had several that have reached out in regards to marching at UT on Saturday, I'll send out a time for that later this evening assuming we haven't fired the piece of crap by then.

Thanks Sara. Let’s spread it all over social media

It's human nature...
We have all been riding the roller coaster for sure the last few days.

But we were told it would get rough.
VERY rough.

I do know that Peyton Manning had Gruden ready to take the job in 2012.

And a lot of powerful people got on the same page for the next go round.

The fans are definitely helping.

There is a reason that Gruden nor his agent haven't distanced themselves publicly.

And just like that... You drag me back in!

If someone has proof that Gruden has been contacted, then why in the ten pound flying ****s are they not blasting it to the world? We are one step away from getting Dooley's cousin as our coach.

It is simple. Boosters gauged interest, he said no. If he said yes, they would be singing it frim the rooftops. Use your head.

How are you defining nuclear option?

I hate to say it but Currie isn't going anywhere anytime soon. If it was going to happen it would have happened by now. Nothing looks like it going to touch Haslam. They will give us the next coach, and as always the others will fall in line. They had their chance to make a stand a few days ago when we gave them the door, nothing but crickets. That tells me they majority are whipped dogs from the likes of Haslam.
A deal will be made in a few days from Currie and Gruden's chance has passed.

The entire Vol nation came together a few days ago and the chance they had was wide open it would only had to take a few people to leak what was going on back stage with Gruden to have change the tides in our favor but nothing happened. Everyone was waiting for a sliver of hope and would have stormed the gates had info leaked out, it wasn't. I'm more on the side now because of all of that that very little was done with Gruden.

Currie makes this hire and I'm out.
Guys, I can't express it enough. Gruden is not gonna happen at this point and probably never was. I was as much on the train as anyone. Even bet $500 that it was gonna happen, which I'm about to lose when Brohm is hired. You're setting yourselves up for another heart break if you continue to think it's got a possibility of happening. The fact that Currie is still making calls tells me he isn't going anywhere. Prepare yourselves for a huge letdown. :hi:

??? Brohm is awesome at this point. Take in a heartbeat, hes the best remaining guy.

How are you defining nuclear option?

Explosive information that the right people have given to the media

I know your feelings on this, and that it shouldn't be done, I respect that.

But do you think it's an option or even close to it? and if it is would it do more harm than good?

Brohm is actually a really good coach. If he can recruit, we might be alright. Purdue people are hoping he doesn't leave. That says something.

Gruden will not say anything about wanting the Tennessee job while John Currie is AD.

Trey Wallace reported weeks ago about offers being made to Gruden, even citing specific salary numbers and other job requirements. For people to come out now and say "it was never happening, or he never had any interest," is revisionist history.

Paging Stephen Hargis... His story with Blackburn as the source was the first time many people outside of here took the Gruden idea seriously. He could blow this thing wide open with another article with some hard evidence of discussions that were had with Gruden, combined with some hard evidence of Haslam's direct involvement with Sunday's fiasco.

Y'all crazy if you dont want brohm. Check stats at cfbstats.com. Petrino minus the baggage, oh and he plays defense and can recruit.

Assuming any of this happened.

Which I now doubt.
