I respect where you're coming from punch, I just have to disagree. Any coach at this point is Haslam buying time for himself and his guy. It is absolutely bigger than hiring one coach. I know this for a fact.
Edit: this is a panic induced Cry for answers you may not be able to give (more of a monologue of despair), not questioning you. Just to clarify.
Currie HAS to be gone first. And he can be, we just have to give the big money time to get it done. Vol Nation can do this.
Fire Before Hire.
Is everyone still e-mailing? Apparently some of mine are getting read. I just received my 2nd reply from my e-mails. The latest reply was from the vice chancellor of alumni affairs. Maybe it'll help.
Proud to say, I finally received a response from one email. I will not post the respondents name only the context.
Dear Ms. Clark:
My apologies for the delayed response, but I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge receipt of your message and to thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. As a University of Tennessee supporter, your perspectives are important to us, and I will be sure to share your message with the UT System President and members of the UT Knoxville administration.
While I regret that this matter has caused you to reconsider your ongoing financial support of the University, I hope that we can regain your trust as we move ahead. Again, thank you for your message.
Sincerely,
I would put Miles and Kiffin into that category...both have SEC experience. Obviously, can be argued either way.
I guess with Gundy, we are back to all 3 star recruiting classes! SMDH
Oklahoma State 2018 Football Commits
His 2011 Big 12 Championship team that beat a top 10 Oklahoma team 44-10, then beat a top 5 Stanford team in a BCS bowl, was extremely entertaining.
Now did you mean a national championship? Because we could get that, go offer Gene Chizik a contract and we can make your dreams come true.
How do we stop him from hiring? Nobody is chaperoning him. He has power to make a hire. Davenport will sign off as will DePietro. He is still conducting interviews. I'm usually a patient fellow, but panic is setting in that we will end up with a mediocre coach as Curries final "screw you!" I can't handle another decade of mediocrity.
