Offensively, yes, he can compete. He pushes that fast paced run and gun offense that can put a defense on it's heels.

Defensively...no way. He needs a home run hire at DC to make it work.

Thanks for the reply GV, I agree completely with defensively, but I've just never actually watched enough of his offense to really know if it would work. I mean we all see the Big 12 scores every week in the 50's 60's so we know they can put the points up, just didn't know if it could actually work against SEC caliber defenses :good!:

As I am listening to Fox Sports Knoxville, one of the hosts recently claimed that a source within the Athletic Department confirmed that a call from Jimmy Haslam came in today and went straight to "the big man" -> John Currie. TIFWIW.

My info is about a call that Jimmy Haslam made. I am trying to come up with a way to get it out but I am not going to cost someone their job. Especially when that someone is close. Haslam was behind this. As I said don't let up Vol Nation !!!

No.

He's an asshat and his HC record sucks worse than Butch's. Why don't you get that?

This, I wasn't aware of the Penn State connection till AFTER I was screaming BullChit about hiring him.

Tampa hated him, barely .500 at Rutgers and if he was lucky he had Ray Rice to even get that.

Wasn't mentioned in any other coach searches that were going on, that I saw.

Don’t know. Sorry. If it pans out then I’ll findout how it happened. However the hire doesn’t matter as much to me as getting rid of John. I gave him a chance he lied to me and everyone else.

That’s why I asked... Someone was hearing last night that Currie was being forced out and Phil was taking over. But they may let him “make this hire”.

My problem with Gundy is he blows a game or two every year he should win. Good coach, but it's almost like complacency sets in.

Vol Twiter finally had to take measures into our own hands to get the Jumbotron pic changed out...

This is the majority of folks right here.

Has plane takin off?.. I like gauged interest line here. Means there has to be a contract on that plane

Sorry if that last line sounded glib, wasn’t meant to. I assure you, I’ve been railing on the Haslams all morning here. I meant the “move on” regarding Gruden, most definitely not towards Haslams. Now is the time to push even harder to purge this University of their influence.

Have a good day at work. 😊

Thank you:hi: you have a good day as well

And he gets beat by the team he isnt supposed to beat (OU).

Hope he leaves that pattern in stillwater.
