They really did want Bill to be the shining star from Tn. in the White House but from my understanding if he had won the Senate seat the national media and potential candidates would have a field day with the Pilot trouble.

It is hard to believe he had no knowledge at all of any of the going's on. I mean do they really think people don't believe they set around the table and never talk about how to make more money. Also check out JLL, they are the ones thsat Bill was pushing to basically take over all aspects of running ALL of the states buildings, maintenance, janitorial, and property. Read up on that and see what you think and who was going to benefit from it and why.

Between his actions embarrassing the university lack of legitimate search, and possible financial repercussions due to him signing an MOU; there should be enough to fire Currie with cause and avoid any buyout.

The fans are buying time, rev. Buying time for folks like Atlanta to do what they do. We all have roles here. Ours is to publicly keep pressure up to oust the influence of Haslam and his hand-picked tools. The big donors are the ones who will have to actually make that happen.

That's the problem- Haslam now runs this university! He can do whatever he freaking wants with no recourse! He has the support of the president and the Chancellor! No one is against him and again, the media pushes the narrative it's the fans fault. Haslam is never mentioned in the media with Tennessee....

I'll add email your local media, especially the Hyams and other water carriers there. Make them make a choice between being truthful or feeling the pinch in their wallet.

The bigger question is why is Currie doing anything.......

The sense that this will go on as business as usual and Davenport and Dipietro and the BOT do and say nothing, other than what came out yesterday, is very concerning. Hard to believe change shouldn't happen, but, it is possible nothing changes. Possibility vs. probability, I hope things turn out for the best but am not holding my breath.

LOL. He has the right to do what he did irregardless if we approve or not. It is his call as the AD.

Hyams said yesterday Haslam and Manning were the ones that hired Curry and to fire him you would have to go through both of them.

How can the administration let Currie interview anyone for the hire, what coach in his right mind would believe he has any credibility. What he did Sunday made him look like a bafoon. He is a joke to the coaching profession, his career as an AD is over. The longer the administration leaves him in the worse they look.

I see nothing new developed overnight....

IF AtlantaVol and his "team" are on to something to reverse course, and I am all for it btw, then someone needs to get word to that "team" that they need to communicate somehow, someway with us peasants out here in a more timely fashion. Now is not the time for subtlety!

Now, back to my regular Gif postings..........ya'll may continue...

I understand. And I’m doing my part as are you and thousands of others. But we need a coach. I know what’s going on is bigger than who gets hired and it’s been needed for a while, but we still need a coach. We can’t say “forget this class” just to complete the purge because whoever the coach is, needs players. We need a coach. I don’t want to rush the hire because we’ve seen what that looks like but nonetheless, we still need a coach. My point is we’re stuck and they know it. Removing them is a lot harder and longer process than we have time for. We can keep emailing and keep calling and keep painting the rock but we are on a very, very limited time frame and they already proved how they operate. So while I agree this needs to happen, I don’t know if the good guys are willing to sacrifice the next 1-2 seasons by delaying a hire. Like Knuck said last night, maybe they let him hire someone then he resigns but what sense does that make? IMO, this needed to be swift with a sharp knife but it didn’t happen. And here we are with a lame duck AD and no one worth a crap willing to take us on.
