In my example, knuck has no obligations to me. He owes me nothing based on his signature, because I repudiated that agreement by trying to hire someone else. In addition, knuck can sue me for fraudulently inducing him into signing an agreement and then quitting his job and moving to FL. Quitting and moving is called "detrimental reliance," he relies on my promise to his detriment. He can sue me for defrauding him and ask for an award of treble (3x) or punitive damages
OK, let's continue with the ball game....Knuck and his lawyer tell Columbus/Currie that if he will simply find him a Pilot/Haslam and fly off into the sunset, all will be forgiven. Knuck then moves from west TN to the Smokies and We get this party on. I'm sure there can be other contingencies, Knuck will let Curries Pilot keep his tail # on his plane(Haslam Building) and a few other perks, left over garbage can and 50% off at Blackberry Farms for starters !!

It's the Silly Season for a reason !!

No one untouchable, someone has something on them that is concrete and can be proven.

I really wish that the Pilot trial currently in progress in Chattanooga would hang him out out to dry...but so far, as usual, he has fall guys in place to take the blame...I'm sure he knew nothing about schemes to make him more money...yeah right

How the HELL Currie can still have a job after this NATIONAL debacle is blowing my Frickin mind!

I think he does make this hire. I believe the leaks about gauging Kiffin which I heard a little while ago. I think Currie WILL resign after. In comes Blackburn. This is my opinion. If the house is cleaned then Gruden back in play.

Currie won't resign, he must be forced out, I have great disdain for John Currie and won't rest until he is out of any decision making process at UT:aggressive:

I emailed DiPietro yesterday (& tweeted at him) - no response. Per Beaver's tweet, I emailed the 4 people listed on UTK Alumni Affairs website. Then I saw in my email junk folder an email from UT Office of Alumni Affairs - so replied back to that one as well. I honestly have no hope for the future, but feel I have to at least try.

It's the only way you force change, Duds. Here's the thing...

If we as fans decided to boycott a game (or several) and plenty of low level season ticket holders decided not to renew, that puts the pressure on the AD to find sources of money to pay for that expansion project. And you know where they are going for it. In turn, those boosters will have to ask themselves "why" this all happened and why they are cracking open their wallet to pay for things already underway or contracted out.

Less fans = The AD crawling towards the boosters begging because of a stupid mistake.

And they know the easy solution to that. The standard fan sitting in the nose bleed sections have way more power than they realize. Don't buy tickets, don't buy concessions, don't pay for parking passes, don't pay for tailgate areas, don't buy overpriced merchandise from the book store.

Don't feed the beast. You can support the troopers on the field by forcing a leadership change that might be in their best interest.

Also football isn't the only revenue generating sport. Imagine no spectators at any home bb games.

They've already lost the $$$ for the Reno and Currie didn't flinch. So is an empty stadium gonna do it?

340M gone and he didn't flinch

It sure would be a shame if the someone with the boosters could provide solid documentation that they had spoken to Gruden (or any other A rated coach), lets say an MOU or something similar. I mean leaks happen all the time. I believe that would also put the heat on Currie and his puppet master.

Also, somewhere in the Athletic Department there resides a hero that leaked who they were going after. May they have many blessings.

The post I saw said the associate AD leaked the Schiano hire. Isn’t that Condredge or is there more than one associate AD? If so, man he just keeps entering the game right when he’s needed to save the day.

Whoever the big boosters are, should come out with the info of what happened to the public.

All we know is the AtlantaVols and RockyTopSC's of the UT booster world are working behind the scenes, along with many other boosters. They were lied to and rightfully pissed. However they choose to resolve this, I am behind them.

I would feel bad seeing those kids run through the T to nothing in the stands.

Do you feel bad about the soldiers charging the machine gun nest?

Or despise the politician that sent them there in the first place?

Anger is way better in these situations than pity. Anger is what we showed on Sunday. We didn't feel sorry for the players when Currie tried to do his shady back door deal. We got angry and we responded with our ire focused on the right target.

Guys, it's important to keep the focus on replacing this AD and the Haslam influence on our program. I see lots of people chattering about Lane Kiffin, but we can debate his pros or cons later.

Fact is, no coach will have sustained success with the snakes still in play.

We MUST clean house FIRST, and we can't get sidetracked from that, even by something as important as a new coach. We aren't talking about saving a recruiting class or a season anymore, we are fighting for the whole enchilada.
