1. Golic is a living example of the effects of CTE on a brain.
2. 'Letting the inmates run the prison'? We're the damn customer. We pay for the product, so we get a say. The end.

If thats his view, then he wont have any problem with disbanding the NFLPA. Why should they have a voice in how their league is run?

There needs to be a coordinated coup from the inside of the AD.

If its true about 90% of the department being upset, they can help to get the RAT OUT.

If you haven't figured it out already the AD is very splintered and dysfunctional. It's been that way for a good while.

Lingering Death. Currie not really showing his face says enough.

I love the Vols , been around since the Shuler days. However ,the last 10 years have been like a bad relationship that you are about fed up with , but you keep coming back cause the s** was good.

The Haslam family didn't get to where they are without being able to cover their tracks and deflect when needed. They can throw folks under the bus and walk away looking like the victim.

No one untouchable, someone has something on them that is concrete and can be proven.

They still get the money from ticket sales, yes. The donation involved with season tickets is much larger though. We need season ticket holders to be down.

I agree with this 100%. The first chance the administration will get to see if ticket sales are down will be season ticket renewals. As CRP stated, those are especially important because of the donations attached.

If those drop noticeably, it will get their attention.

I have yet to see anyone screaming at anyone else. Hyperbole much?

I agree with this 100%. We, the consumer, have purchasing power. If we don't like the product, we don't buy it. The downside is the kids out there playing suffer for it.

I agree these parties want a coach hired as quickly as possible to remove the focus from them.

. I thought of this all night after Knuck and Exile told us what is happening behind closed doors. Is there a coach that we could hire that would actually help our cause against the power(s) that strangle this University?

They won't let that happen. Currie and Haslam are looking for their coach.

Honestly, I don't think the ticket idea is sound. In order to buy them off the street, somebody has to buy them to start with. Ticket sales will still be the same. Unless you buy them and then don't show up. Don't watch on TV so ratings go down. I guess we could listen on the radio.

Yep. Plus paying $8 for a soda and another $8 for a hotdog while inside.

You kill the beast by starving it of what it needs. Money. If boosters are reluctant to use that nuclear option (wisely so) the fans do have a choice. Save that money, give it to St Jude or anything other than going to the stadium.

It's laughable some people think we aren't a top program.

Top ten in:
Revenue
Attendance
Stadium
Fan base
Facilities
All time wins

Even the state of Tennessee is producing top 5 in recruits.

Edit: someone should sticky a post with this

Traditionally we are. In relevancy we are not.

I think it’s like someone who leaves you for their super hot dream girl....who then uses him and dumps him. He rebounds to a nice enough girl who’s stripping on the side to pay the bills. He’s in the relationship but not “in it” for good. But, you know, he realizes now that you were always “the one”. He starts dropping some interest out there to let you know. Starts showing up whenever you’re out.....and then boom. He’s professing his undying love and that you were the one that got away.

Kick that s*** to the curb.
You too, huh?

Incredibly happy to be past that stage of my life.

Pics of said hot girls?

Go look at any of Bill Haslam's Twitter posts yesterday. If they care about Bill's future in politics, they need to pay attention.

Article in the Tennessean today. Bill commented yesterday on it.

Defended his brother saying he wasn't part of the head coaching hire.

Right, he just put the puppet in place that would. I just now realized after looking back that Blackburn never even got an interview for the AD position. Apparently the AD search was all a ruse as well. This has Haslam's fingerprints all over it.

They won't though. the heat is already dying off. We'll hire some D-squad coach and continue the death spiral for the next few years. Such is life as a vol fan.

If Currie hasn't been fired yet I don't see it happening.

Hence the reason you by individual tickets. Yes it still supports them a little but I promise donations are the majority of their revenue off the season ticket holders.

This is just Haslimes trying to cover their tracks in much the same way that they've thrown everyone under the bus for their criminal activity at Pilot.

The rot starts with them- look at the Browns, Vols, and Pilot. Slimeball family.

The kids out there playing are also hoping that they have an AD that will support them and provide them the best opportunity to succeed. They aren’t oblivious to this fiasco. I’m tired of the fans being the problem or responsible for the players feelings
