At best (and I don't believe this), maybe Gruden agreed with some boosters what it would take for him to accept. But, that most likely would not be binding on UT.

Now, Schiano might make these claims of detrimental reliance when UT hires a different coach.

Isnt Currie out in Dallas interviewing Butch 2.0? The thing is , he is out there unmedicated. I hope Haslam is with him and the pilot diverts the plane and goes over the Bermuda triangle.

In the end this coaching search no longer matters. Whatever coach they are able to scrape up will not be able to assemble a staff worth a damn. By the time he's given a few years too scrap it out with Vandy and Mizzou for worst team in the SEC status them and only then will we be able to make a hire that points is back to an upward trajectory.

Hopefully by then the cancer will have been cut out of the booster and AD side. Don't hold your breath though. I don't think the Haslams are going anywhere.

This all day. Fans are looking at the next coach available . the issues are with the people who hired kiffin, Dooley, butch and tried to continue the BS with this bum.

Fans have had enough. Happy to see fans stick together but there needs to be more.

I have to believe and pray that some that can will fight to the bloody end. They would have virtually the entire fan base in their corner and it would get down. But will they try? If they think it's going to blow over they are very very wrong. That's all.:rock:

Since Haslam bought the Browns 6 years ago, they are 20-71. That's 20 wins and 71 losses. They are 0-11 so far this year.. What a football genius he is..It's a shame he has so much control over Tennessee athletics.

That is the hilarious part of this. We aren't talking about Robert Kraft. We are talking about an owner whose pro team has won as many league games as his college team. A big, fat zero.

It is laughable that any AD would listen to him for more than a nanosecond.

"Guys....I know I said Gruden had signed and it was a done deal...due to my secret sources..who I can't name due to the sensitive nature of this...but it WAS a done deal which inexplicably got screwed up by someone I cannot name...but this is a high level person close to the big boosters and AD. I wish I could tell you who messed this up but I have been sworn to secrecy. I know exactly what went down due to my close association with the power brokers at UT. Man..if you guys only knew the real story. But I do...and I'll just leave it at that". -Classic know nothing troll BULLSPIT.
