He may have done it as a favor because Haslam is looking at Manning for the Browns front office. Still pretty dang sad. But, Manning may never have looked into the story and only went off what he was told by Haslam. We will never know.

Never ever kiss another mans ass.

So what about bringing in Fulmer as the interim and getting Tee to be the OC/HC in waiting? Could get some other VFLs to join the staff and you would have a genuine orange blooded staff, would certainly make everyone feel a hell of a lot better and it would save a ton of face.

We don’t need a coach right now!!!! If a coach is hired right now that means Currie did the hiring and all of this is for naught.

We need the backlash to hit the Administration. Fire emails, twitters, phone calls etc.

Right now the National Media is on their side and that buys them more time so we need to up the ante!

From poster on TOS about QB club meeting today

"Jimmy Hyams spoke .
Jim Haslam walked Currie into the Board meeting and said Currie was the new Athletic Director and Anderson said no and walked out the door and slammed the door behind him.

Is this Big Jim or Jimmy?

If he hired Currie without board approval, that is illegal. What is worse is he is not even on the board and legally has no power to hire anyone!

"Dear Chancellor Davenport,

I am writing you today to voice my extreme displeasure with the actions of leadership at the University of Tennessee yesterday. Specifically, the actions of Athletic Director John Currie in pursuing an unvetted and reckless agenda to hire an individual with serious questions as to his fitness to represent our University as its head football coach.

The back door actions of AD Currie are underhanded and I'll timed. I will not stand for such actions as I hold the University to a much higher standard. This is a time when Tennessee needs to bring someone in whom has high character and class. In no such manner should we ever consider a man whom, by all accounts, wipes his ass with them. I demand that Currie be removed and all that supported such a heinous act removed as well.

I wish to inform you that I can no longer support the University that I love through my actions or my financial contributions, so long as John Currie is employed as Athletic Director. I will reconsider this decision at such time as he is no longer employed by the University.

We will not go quietly into the night. We will not go down without a fight.

No longer in support of you,

Good job Dudley :good!:

The only HC with experience we will get is some G5 coach who is mediocre. Tee with a great supporting staff would be a bigger boom than any of those options.

I haven’t seen a response from Tuesday. What is his take on the situation? Friends with Tee, right?

ALL DAMN DAY, Les Miles, while not very sexy, would be a monster hire at this moment in UT history.

I hear T. Basilio (I know it's Tony lol) say today that Miles HAD contacted Tennessee last night saying he was willing to be our back up plan ?????:crazy::crazy:

Our attention should be on Currie, Davenport, and Haslam. Only way to change any of this. Directing any towards Gruden changes nothing.

Yes, in reverse order. Getting rid of Currie isn't enough. The question is, do we have the stomach to let the field burn long enough to flush out ALL of the snakes? Not just the little ones.

We need an explanation...I just feel like that's what we deserve...we have all put him on a pedastal not only for his athletic achievements but also for his deameanor off the field as well...I would gladly accept him back into the fold...nothing made my dad happier then to have him at the helm of the broncos but this has definately put a damper on that SB win for him at least

We can forget the normal prerequisites of money hungrey, narcissistic, and pathological liar that is normally required for this job and hire you if you can just care about the students and the fans..

I think a lot of us would fit those prerequisites. I know I definitely would.

Thoughts??

lot nicer and more professional than mine were. I've donated alot of money to Northwestern over the years and would have done the same with UT except for the issues beginning in 2000-2001.

I'm sure my money doesn't mean much to UT in the grand scheme, but, this whole fiasco is a reiteration and confirmation of making sound financial decisions concerning these......... "a lot of bad words"... people.

So instead of making one bad hire, we’ll make two?

What do you want dude?

I remember a conversation between you and I last year when you wanted Butch fired right then. (after SC). My argument was, not until we have a new AD and even then it's not a gaurentee we do any better. Now look.

Not really giving you a hard time, but we really don't have alot of choices because of our "wonderful" administration.
