I forewarded my November 8 email (sent to Lee Patouillet, Associate Vice Chancellor of Alumni Affairs, regarding withholding future contributions based on coaching situation) to the Chancellor and added additional comments relative to Currie's employment.
Lee's direct email, is:

It is absolutely, positively 100 percent reasonable to not want your football program associated with anyone associated with the Paterno/Sandusky era of Penn State football.
Many in the national media today are really disappointing me.
.
Hypothetically, if you were trying to save your job what would you do, in this situation?
Answer: You would try to make a hire as quickly as possible before the opportunity was taken away from you, in hopes that it would somehow reestablish trust within the University and fan base.
Thats why time is of the essence for not only VolNation to voice their opinions but Currie to try and salvage his job.
Who do you imagine might actually come to UT after this debacle? Coaches that were once firmly nestled in our "floor" positions are now floating to the ceiling positions.
I don't think the full appreciation of the damage done to UT has set in yet, but it will, and you can thank the Haslams and Currie when it does.
We were in position to get this hire done much earlier in the season, and we sat on firing Butch. Other schools, while maybe having less of a budget to play with, at least have competent leadership and have made quality hires.

He took "owner of Casual Pint Northshore" off of his personal account at first.
Then he apologized with a copy/paste job on both personal and the Casual Pint NSH account.
Then he took his personal account private.
Then he deleted the Casual Pint NSH account.
Now he has deleted his personal account.
He's hoping it will go away.
Make sure it doesn't.
Since Davenport has spoken and supported Currie then you know the search is still on and almost over.
There are still solid options available whether it be Kiffin,Martin,Frost,Cutcliffe,or whoever.
I suspect this coaching search is in its final hours.
Thank the Lord.

This is what pisses me off most. There's NO PROOF that Schiano was our last viable option. In fact, it seems there were more than a few candidates on the board still that the boosters had agreed to in theory.
Currie's decision came out of nowhere, and could have potentially tanked the whole program into hiring another unproven coach AGAIN.
Chancellor Davenport,
When will this dog and pony show end? Neither you nor Currie have quelled the madness that transpired on 11/26/17.
As a lifelong Vol, alumnus and supporter of this great institution, I demand answers, but most of all, I demand the best from our leadership. What occurred yesterday is beyond despicable and is widely regarded as reprehensible. There is no way in hell anyone involved could justifiably agree that this was the most viable option to rectify and rejuvenate an already depleted, beleaguered team and fan base. I am physically sick that my alma mater has disregarded what's been screaming in their ear for years - the voice of the fans. We showed up and showed out yesterday, and this is far from over.
To believe John Currie during his press conference on the dismissal of Lyle Allen Jones, Jr., one would have to be completely disassociated with reality or mentally ill. We were promised a coach who will put Tennessee on the path to competing for championships, not an enabler for despicable, heinous acts who just happens to be a bad coach. If UT believes this is apathy, you've seen nothing. Imagine, if you will, a cavernous stadium filled to half capacity (and this is a stretch), a drastic down-turn in apparel and licensed merchandise sales, a tentatively approved $340M stadium renovation and other lavish dreams on the academic and athletic fronts, has UT considered where the funds will come from? It will not come from this fan base. Will the Haslams foot the bill to maintain their death grip on power? This may be the only option left if this is mishandled any worse than it already has been. Further, I believe UT's allegiance to anything Haslam will alienate other well-endowed athletic and academic boosters. It only takes open eyes and ears to realize the contentious battles within the UTAD. It is a well-known truth that no one, outside of the Haslams and their puppets, cares for the control and power wielded from Jim Haslam. The marionette stopped dancing yesterday because the strings were cut.
The king is one move away from checkmate. It's your turn.
Thank you,

Thoughts anyone?
heck, at this point, bring me dino babers.
Don't always agree with Rucker, but at least he seems to be sane about this.
If Currie had run out and hired Mike Norvell, PJ Fleck, or someone like that, we probably would have been disappointed, but there wouldn't have been a firestorm about it.
Butch Jones wants to know how you could be so tone deaf that you think hiring a guy who might be innocent of covering up heinous activity is a good idea.
At best, Schiano is a mediocre coach. No one else in a P5 league that remotely cares about football would have considered hiring Schiano to be a head coach. And that's not factoring in the Penn State stuff. So I'm not apologizing for being proud that the fans stopped it from happening at UT.
