"Dear Chancellor Davenport,
I am writing you today to voice my extreme displeasure with the actions of leadership at the University of Tennessee yesterday. Specifically, the actions of Athletic Director John Currie in pursuing an unvetted and reckless agenda to hire an individual with serious questions as to his fitness to represent our University as its head football coach.
The back door actions of AD Currie are underhanded and I'll timed. I will not stand for such actions as I hold the University to a much higher standard. This is a time when Tennessee needs to bring someone in whom has high character and class. In no such manner should we ever consider a man whom, by all accounts, wipes his ass with them. I demand that Currie be removed and all that supported such a heinous act removed as well.
I wish to inform you that I can no longer support the University that I love through my actions or my financial contributions, so long as John Currie is employed as Athletic Director. I will reconsider this decision at such time as he is no longer employed by the University.
We will not go quietly into the night. We will not go down without a fight.
No longer in support of you,
