I still have no idea why anyone would be ok with Tee?

Someone please enlighten me on why he is the right choice?

If he played football at Appalachian State would you still be screaming for him?

Hes barely being considered as a HC for Georgia Southern...

Tee to me is a cop out that will end badly and turn fans against him in a few years. That is what he wanted to avoid and why he turned down Butchs offer to be his OC.

I dont know who the right hire is but what I heard on the radio this morning nailed it.

Schiano stink will go away but hiring a bad coach to get past it will linger for years and set this program back even further.

Oh and #FireCurrie #FHaslam

Actually ziti everyone else was right about that. It affected the search zero.zero percent because they already had their guy.

Well that’s what made me calm down about it. I thought no way he does that without his guy. Little did I know he had his guy. Just was a fourth tier candidate.

Think this job was too big for Dooley and Butch? Tee has less experience than either of them. He needs to be HC at a smaller program for a few years and learn how to run a program. Bring him here now and he'll be eaten alive. He'll be despised in a few years, just for taking a job he wasn't ready to handle.

This right here.

If Tee did come here and failed, it could set his career back for years. If I were Tee, I wouldn't touch it.

I have no doubt that Tee Martin loves Tennessee, but people seem to selectively forget that he turned Butch down to be on our staff a few years back. He could have potentially been in Larry Scott's position now. He declined. What's going to change his position now? Plus, if he came here and failed someone would have the unenviable task of firing a Tennessee legend. It really worked out with Fulmer!

do you blame him for not wanting to work with Butch? Literally nobody seems to like working for him. He sucks the life out of you.

I don't disagree with any of this, except that Purdue still does stink. They are 6-6 and play in the Big 10 and lost to Rutgers. Granted, they are Purdue, and it isn't reasonable to expect them to be playing in the Rose Bowl in Year 1, but people are grading his success on a bit of a curve.

Agree. I just think his success at WKU before that is a precursor for continued success at Purdue to a Tiller level. I doubt he can get past that there, just as Mullen learned at MSU.

I think Butch brought him in as a PR move. Was planning on hiring Azzanni no matter what.

Tee turned down the opportunity to be on Butch's staff because Butch is a loser and he could see that. Ask Jay Graham.

I actually do think Tee might get a little longer leash than some other guys, but the Tee euphoria going around today will dissipate quickly when we go into that USCe game on Oct 27 at 2-5 (0-4), which is not unlikely.
