Are you kidding me? Purdue has won Big 10 titles and had Heisman candidates. Granted, they've been down lately, and Brohm is a nice looking prospect, but have some grip with reality please.

Purdue had won 9 games in 4 years until Brohm got there. They had one winning season at 7-6 since the last year of Joe Tiller. Agree they had some great players in their past. Tiller brought them success for an extended period, but even he never won more than 9 games in a season. After him they have stunk worse than 3 day old fish left out in the hot sun until Brohm was hired.

I don't think he was in on the search, at least according to Ainge. He more or less rubber stamped it as did Heath Shuler. Ainge said neither knew of the Penn State stuff in his background. I'm still puzzled that Peyton would even rubber stamp it given his reputation both in college and the pros.

Does it matter? He shouldn’t be involved in the future regardless. We can’t have Haslam yes men running our searches.

I understand the thinking that Tee is too green and not ready for a major head coaching job, but if you think he will be ready in a few years after gaining more experience elsewhere why wait? Just go get him and give him the resources to be successful now and speed up his learning curve.

I'm really hoping I can get on the ground floor of this one.

No seriously. Bring Tee home.

Different Missouri team.

Same team. Whatever argument you think about making to explain how Missouri played better against us or whatever, just keep in mind that Purdue didn’t just beat them. Purdue dominated them. And they dominated us.

I don't disagree with any of this, except that Purdue still does stink. They are 6-6 and play in the Big 10 and lost to Rutgers. Granted, they are Purdue, and it isn't reasonable to expect them to be playing in the Rose Bowl in Year 1, but people are grading his success on a bit of a curve.

Missouri was a disaster to start the season. They struggled to beat Missouri State. Vastly different team by the end of the year. Missouri would beat Purdue by 2+ touchdowns if they played them again right now. Again, let's be realistic.

Its not about me buddy, I can easily dismiss it. Its the mob mentality that is our fan base, hanging on every word some idiot with a VQ account throws out as the latest insider info then throwing fits when reality comes crashing down on them.

Perhaps I give these posters more credit than you. I think most are capable of fending for themselves. Maybe I'm wrong.
