What does it matter? Surely you have the ability to discern for yourself whether it's believable. Scroll on by if you don't like it. You have the freedom!

Its not about me buddy, I can easily dismiss it. Its the mob mentality that is our fan base, hanging on every word some idiot with a VQ account throws out as the latest insider info then throwing fits when reality comes crashing down on them.

Think this job was too big for Dooley and Butch? Tee has less experience than either of them. He needs to be HC at a smaller program for a few years and learn how to run a program. Bring him here now and he'll be eaten alive. He'll be despised in a few years, just for taking a job he wasn't ready to handle.

How much coordinator experience did they have?

We all love Tee, but this program is bigger than one person. Tee isn't where he needs to be as a coordinator yet...and we're going to let him cut his teeth as a HC with our program?

Dabo was never even a coordinator. He was a really good recruiter and motivator.

I mean, we just went 4-8 and nearly hired Greg Schiano. If Tee can load up on recruits and hire a great staff, 4-8 would be accepted in year one by many in the fanbase. I think people have realized we're in for another rebuild now.

Better to go 4-8 with Tee than 4-8 with Brohm.

I think it actually might be ideal. Tee was my pick at the very beginning of all of this but I talked myself into Mullen. I’m fully aboard the Tee hype train again. He’s the best young recruiter in the country and he knows Tennessee. He knows what it takes to win here. Give him Steele as his DC and let’s roll. This fan base will be united in a way that I don’t think we’ve seen in a long time. I think current players will respond to Tee exceptionally well too

What makes anyone think that Kevin Steele would come here as a DC?

I hear a lot of TN say...put Tee in he has orange blood...stick Fulmer in--stick Cutcliffe in...as co whatever. They aren't going to do that...if they did it would be colossally stupid..this isn't Vols fantasy camp. We are running out of old timers to trot out to prop up the program. Currie needs to be fired, and we need to zero in on Brohm, Pruitt, or Venables.

I also don't think the "experience" thing necessarily holds weight when it comes to finding a head coach. If we're after experience, hire Les Miles. There are plenty of guys who are successful immediately as head coaches.

Clemson took a chance with a very green Dabo and it's going well. The staff is key.

Know what Dabo has always been able to do? Recruit like hell.

This whole time everyone thought that Peyton was going to save the program, be more involved, be influential, but in the end it's Tee Martin that could end up saving the program. The guy who did what Manning couldn't might just do it again.

Maybe your best post ever, Dom.

I don't buy this. He'll need help, sure, but if anyone knows the pressure of Tennessee, it's the guy who won a National championship as the starting QB. We'll need to bring Randy Sanders in, and Fulmer may have to step up and take on a bigger role, but this can work.

I'm a big believer in the saying "you make your own luck." No one is going to work harder to bring Tennessee back than Tee and no one will be able to recruit better.

High risk, High reward. "Safe" = guys like Schiano minus his baggage.

Usually they were groomed by very seasoned, successful HC. Not always, but experience or pedigree should be a requirement. Tee has neither.
