Ainge just said he just got word Peyton knew about GS and like Heath Shuler, didn't know about he PSU connection. Why do these guys not research things before they give an opinion.

Let's also end this stupid notion that UT was Gruden or bust. Maybe a small faction was but the vast majority saw it as a cool hire if he came but was open to plenty of other coaches.

That's lazy reporting and not even close to being true

Truth. A small segment were stupid Gruden jock sniffers. Many others of us hoped, but knew it would probably not happen. That is lazy reporting and a lie to boot.

i had a feeling this would go to crazy land and here we are, crazy land

No Gruden, no Mullen, no Taggart, no Kelly, no Frost, no Kiffin

And here we are hoping to God we hire Jeff Brohm. What a mess....

What's sad is they never offered Gruden, Chip, Kiffin, or Frost

Schiano is going to sue UT

Hmm. Bold move considering jail time is there if someone can prove he did know something. He spent his first 6 years of coaching there directly under Sandusky. Sandusky was likely his reference for future jobs. It happened repeatedly, JoPa knew, the AD knew, sworn testimony says he knew, but he knew nothing???

Interesting take by Ainge's sidekick on their show (can't remember his name). He thinks the statement may have been worded that way as part of a legal agreement that included Schiano mutually backing out of the MOU and not suing. I could see that.

I think Brohm is in play. Like we’ve said, Tee is definitely interested. Pruitt is too, but question for both is mutual support. Multiple Tennessee folks have reached out to Cut to guage his interest.

Trash! Coward statement just like the one pulling all the strings. Haslam is a coward and scared to death to give up any power to allow this once proud football program to hire a real coach to lead us back to relevance. They are all cowards!

Could see that. Currie didn't write that. Lawyers did. UT is trying to avoid even more egg on its face by having to publicly fork over money to Schiano.

That statement is nothing but a selfish one for Currie. It's not what is best for this program unless he had to do it for $ and Schiano.

Pruitt UT or Miss State?

Tennessee a better job. Let’s see if interest is mutual though. Pruitt telling folks he can deliver an excellent staff. Definitely a must for a coach with no HC experience.

One would think that Peyton would know that GS is garbage as a coach, regardless of PSU connection.
