It was not well received when early in the process I said that Currie was a puppet of whoever pushed him into the AD office, since he swept in for the job at the last second. Now, we see all the Haslam love affair for Schiano, and it turns out...

I don't care a rip about credit for it. I hate being right when it sucks

You were right.

I hoped Currie would prove to be better. I see now the folly of my arrogance, to imagine that the University of Tennessee could ever hire someone marginally competent to manage the most profitable football program in the country.

No i don’t. I believe boosters courted him and he got calls from various people. It was never gonna be gruden. I said Currie and JG were ok with keeping Grumers alive bc i guess it gave him shade to talk to Schiano. And JG leveraging ESPN/NFL job.

Thanks for the reply :hi:
I’m beyond glad we stopped the hiring of Schiano but I’m at a loss as to where we go from here.

One last question, do you think there’s any chance Currie is actually fired?

It's a shame the "like" button goes away on high volume days. I am so proud of the RF.

Brohm, Taggart, Tee, Venables - all 4 will get you where you want to go given a reasonable period of time to build their roster. Tee is the one who needs the most help with his staff. Time to take our meds. We have been nuked by the people in charge of the program - the caretakers. Radical changes need to be made at the admin level and they just woke up a sleeping lion when they got the legislators that upset. The BOT will be dancing.

Currie has to go - now.

This fan base will chew Brohm up and spit him out. Unfortunately.

Man I'm really getting sick of you taking every chance to dump on us. We have endured more garbage than any large, loyal and devoted fanbase should ever have to suffer. We are not the problem, the absolute garbage administration full of pathetic leeches we are saddled with are. Direct your vomit towards them.

Any lawyers care to help us understand MOU vs a Contract?

Typically an MOU would be non-binding — a non-binding “agreement” that outlines the high-level terms that parties are in agreement about. A definitive contract would be finalized later with more details, etc.

I would add Dave Arranda and Mike Norvell to that list.

OK, my insane thought. Don't bash me too hard for this.

It was never gonna be Gruden. Case closed...

But could it be Gruden now that we will have a new AD, and Gruden knows that he will be hated if he does not take the job now? You know, he may have already known that he was not going to be given a chance to be the one.

A fellow can dream can't he?

Wtf?

Guy does something completely legal (although frowned upon) in a game of football and that shows that he’s capable of covering up child rape?

I hope I’m just reading that the wrong way.

It shows his moral compass is off. That with sworn testimony is enough to make me think the hire is a bad decision.
